Lois Shannon, 64, traveled from Colorado to Texas for knee pain treatment after decades of injuries and arthritis limited her dancing and skiing. Pinnacle Integrative Orthopedics combined stem-cell therapy, PRP, muscle stimulation, and nutrition counseling in a whole-body approach that felt different from sales-focused clinics she'd tried before.

Okay, we have Miss Lois Shannon with us today. Lois has traveled a long way to see us here at Pinnacle Integrative Orthopedics. How far have you come?
I came all the way from Boulder, Colorado.
Fantastic, fantastic. Well, Lois, um, if you don't mind, how young are you?
I'm 64 years old. And, and what brought you Well, honestly, I had gone to several people in the Boulder area to seek care for my knees, and I really felt like they were used car salesmen, like they really were trying to push things on me and it was somehow all about the money. And so I was looking for something different.
Okay, and what did you find about Pinnacle that's different? What were you interested in? What What brought you to us specifically?
Your holistic approach, that you really take care of the whole body and believe deeply in that healing process, that it's not just about the joint, it's about your whole, your whole being, your whole body.
Yeah.
And, um, yeah, yeah, that's what brought me here.
Can you kind of walk me through a little bit of your path and the experience that we had together as we talked and then as you came in here to the office?
Yeah. So, well, first of all, you spent, I think, over an hour on the phone with me going through my MRIs and taking down my history, and I just felt so seen and heard. It was amazing. And then you sent me an email that was at least a very, very long email that recapped everything that we had talked about in terms of my own history and experience. And, and you— I just, I felt so cared for from the very beginning. I've never had any medical professional treat me the same way.
Thank you.
Yeah, thank you. That's for sure.
And you came to us because of your knees. You've had a long history of problems with your knees. Let's speak a little bit about your left knee in particular. You've had a couple of surgeries, you had an ACL How would you describe your left knee?
Well, yeah, many years ago when I was still in university, I was playing lacrosse and I tore my ACL and my MCL, and I had surgery at that time. So that was like in 1984. It was a long time ago. And then about 10 years later, that surgery was actually not very— it wasn't successful. I still— yeah, my knee would just give out a lot. So I had a second surgery. I had a patella tendon surgery about 10 years after that.
Mm-hmm.
And then I would say, you know, I've just been kind of living with it where it's painful and it's limited some of the activities that I do. I used to love dance and skiing and various things, so I don't do those anymore. And the arthritis is very painful, and so I was looking for relief to the pain but also potentially an opportunity to get back to some of the things I enjoy, like dance.
Yes.
So I would say that's what led me here.
Okay, and what treatments did we discuss?
Doing some stem cell Regenerative treatment and, um, and I think some PRP too, basically doing those together.
Yeah, but we don't just stop there. We definitely want to look a little deeper. What was that, what was that like for you?
Well, that was the whole thing that brought me here. Um, I love the approach of, you know, calming the whole body, using things like the laser treatment, using things that Oh God, of course I can't remember the name of the sculpt. What is it called?
We do a high-intensity focused electromagnetic stimulation, so it's actually called the Emsculpt Neo, is the device that we use.
Yeah, okay, that one that stimulates all of the muscles. The IV that keeps me nice and hydrated, and, and then also the consultation with Nutritionist and supplements and all of those things, you know, hormones. Like, it's so clear that you care about the entire body, that that's part of the— that that's part of the success for the healing.
Absolutely, absolutely. And so when you came to us, we, we did some optimization on the first day and got to know each other. The second day we did your procedure. How was that experience?
Well, you said if I came here that you were going to take good care of me, and I keep saying to your staff, I was like, this is beyond good care, this is exceptional care. As I said, I've, I've never felt so cared for in any medical situation. So, um, and that when I first came in here The professionalism, the facility, like everything about it is just so high-end. Like, I was so impressed by what you've created.
Thank you.
Very sincerely.
Thank you.
It kind of blew me away, to be honest. I wasn't expecting it.
Yeah, maybe didn't expect it in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Yeah, maybe. Very good.
Very good. So overall, your experience has been positive. Do you feel like you have a good road forward?
Yeah, I definitely do. I was going to say positive— phenomenal. Like, literally, I keep saying to all of my friends, if you need to get any kind of treatment— stem cells, PRP, whatever, joints that are, you know, that are bugging you— I really can't recommend any place high enough. Fantastic. Yeah.
And so you feel like it's worth it to make that little travel to Wichita Falls?
God, that's exactly what I said to my husband. I am so grateful and so blessed that I get to come here and have the, the treatment and the care that I got. So yes, very, very much worth it to come to Wichita Falls. Thank you.
Is there anything else that you want to say?
No, I think we've covered everything. I guess just lastly, I would say thank you. Thank you so much for the work that you do, for what you've created here, the whole approach of the entire body, and your commitment to really helping people heal and for their bodies to heal.
Thank you.
Yeah, so thank you. Wonderful. I feel like I wasn't very articulate.
Oh, I think you were great. Breaking the frame there. I'm just coming in to get a hug. Thank you so much.
Of course.
