Short testimonial interview (YouTube) between Dr. Joshua John-Ram Schacter and patient David Wesley (age 46) about recovery from a frozen right shoulder caused by a rotator-cuff injury sustained while closing a car door. David received non-surgical treatment consisting of PRP injection combined with shoulder manipulation to break scar tissue, followed by supplements and physical therapy. He avoided open surgery (which he estimated would have required ~10 months recovery), experienced soreness for a couple of days but reported markedly reduced pain and improved range of motion within about 2–3 days and continuing improvement with therapy.

All right. I'm here with David. David, would you give me your full name?
That's called David Wesley.
Awesome. And how old are you, brother?
46.
Very cool. So we saw David for his right shoulder. He's had a lot of problems with his right shoulder.
I pretty much couldn't move my arm. It was literally standing at my side. What had happened was, is I pulled. What was it? Rotator. I pulled my rotator cup closing a car door, not doing anything. Extremely. And for that I didn't want to move my arm because it just hurt my rotator cup and I froze my shoulder. And after all the treatment that you did, no surgery at all, which was great because I would have been out probably about 10 months on that. And after that, perfectly fine. I still have a little bit of a frozen shoulder, but that's all happened to work out for physical. Physical therapy. Just being physical at all.
Yeah. Very cool.
After the pain was not being. I felt it was going to heal itself and it didn't. So I needed to go get some professional help to see if I can get that face.
Mainly financial. I knew I could pay it. It was just going to be a strain. But after that, looking at what treatments you providing and what. What it actually would do, I went ahead and go, took the jump and just. Let's see if we can get this fixed.
Mostly surgical. I did not want to do surgical surgery, being laid up for like 10 months because I'd strain something. It's just part of life, but, you know, you don't want to deal with it.
Right, Right.
So we did prp and we did a manipulation with the prp. So we moved your shoulder to break up the scar tissue. So what was that, that whole process?
Like, at first you don't feel it because they numb it, and. But the next day it's really sore. But not until the point where you still. You're. You had to go to the hospital because that's what it was. Just really sore. Inflamed a lot of heat onto it, fixed it. I didn't have any pain after that. For a couple of minutes. I went through your regiments of the. I can't name the. They're not drugs.
Supplements.
Supplements. Yes, sir. Thank you. I took supplements. And after that, perfectly fine.
After two days, it wasn't that much downtime. I was sore at work, but it was to the point where after three days, I was perfectly fine.
Fantastic.
That's perfectly fine. I don't have any pain.
I can lift up my hand. That's crazy. It's still not fully there because I froze. Froze my shoulder. So it's going to take a while just to get it up frozen. But other than that, I don't have any pain like lifting objects. There's no stabby, stabbing pain from the rotator cup. So.
I'm gonna go with it. I mean, if you can get, like, almost halfway there just by doing a treatment and the other half, you work it out. It's kind of a cheat code. But it's not a cheat code because you still have to do the workouts. But other than that, I mean, it's.
And that's important, Right. Because we give you the foundation.
Yes.
And then we give you the boost in healing.
Yeah.
That you can do this yourself.
So we don't need two months of being able to move my arm. And if I had to have surgery, it would have been about 10 to 11 on that. Some of the stuff on there, the supplements, you might think it might not. It doesn't help. And it's just placido. It actually does help. I mean, I. Even the vitamin D supplements that. That I ended up taking, I got a little bit less allergies just doing it that way. Just the extra side benefit.
Yeah. So our goal really is to help you get healthy while we're taking care of your shoulder, right? Oh, yeah. You feel like we helped you do that? Yeah, absolutely. Great. All right, man. Well, I appreciate you so much. Thank you so much for being a patient.
All right. Thank you very much for helping me out.
