Now, what does laser light therapy do for our joint? Well, first, laser light therapy without any orthobiologics treatments can be an amazing adjunct to anything postoperatively. Just post injury can really help with tissue healing. Laser light therapy helps with tissue healing by stimulating the tissues to grow new blood vessels. It's called neovascularization. It improves blood vessel, improves blood flow to an area. It also stimulates cells to release more of those materials that we talked about with PRP and with stem cell treatments that cause tissues to heal and remodel. So the way laser light therapy does that is by stimulating the mitochondria.
