A short video message from Dr. Sanda Moldovan (uploaded March 24, 2020) describing infection-control measures at her dental office during early COVID-19: the office uses an air purifier that includes ozone, ionization, and UV; staff are using N95 masks (noting unusual availability at a gas station); the practice remains open for dental emergencies (hours 8:00–17:00), with temperature screening on arrival and an ozone rinse provided to patients.

Hope you are all staying healthy at home. I wanted to share a couple of things with you. A lot of you have asked me what kind of air purifier I'm using. So here at the office we actually have an air purifier that not only has ozone, but it also has ionization and uv. You might know already, ionization and UV kills pretty much all viruses. So that's why I chose something that has ozone and uv. The other thing, of course, here at the office we're using a 95 masks and a lot of places are out but harsh. Our office manager managed to find some N95 masks at the gas station. So wherever you expected the least to find N95 masks, you will find them at the gas station. So just ask next time you fill up your gas tank. Thirdly, if any of you have any dental emergencies, we are here for you. We are open still same hours 8 to 5 and we are seeing patients for emergencies only. We are going to be checking everybody's temperature as soon as they walk in the door. We have an ozone rinse for you to make sure we keep the environment healthy and clean, especially of viruses and germs. Hope to see you very soon. Until then, stay healthy.
