Dr. Sanda Moldovan shows how ozone gas sterilizes cavities and treats dental abscesses without antibiotics, making it safe for pregnant patients. She demonstrates the equipment at Encino Dental Health and explains how to control ozone output through an oxygen tank dial to stay in the therapeutic range.

What if you could sterilize a cavity, calm the nerve, and improve outcomes without relying on traditional methods alone? Let's talk about how ozone gas is changing dentistry. Okay, let's chat about ozone gas in dentistry. I know a lot of you, even dentists, want to start using ozone, which I think is amazing for our practice and what it can do for the oral microbiome, especially if you're treating cavities and including fillings. I believe every tooth should be treated with ozone, especially when it's exposed. Right after we clean the cavity, ozone application really helps us to sterilize that site and to calm down the nerve. Now, this is an ozone machine that we have here at Encino Dental Health in Lomas. It is a smaller machine. You don't have to have a big machine in order to do ozone, and this is relatively inexpensive. We also have a safety meter here. Super important that you practice ozone safely. So I'm just going to plug both of them in. And here's the ozone meter. It shows me basically that there's no ozone right now escaping from the unit. You want to practice safely. The oxygen tank here, which is actually connected via a silicone tube, okay, to my ozone generator. On the ozone tank, we actually have a dial here., and I can monitor the concentration of oxygen that is coming out of the tank. And based on that, I get a different concentration of ozone coming out of the machine. We know that there's only a certain bracket of ozone that we actually need in order to have a therapeutic effect for cavities and for gum disease. I also use a syringe just like this one, for example, It's a syringe that we can actually hook up and get ozone gas by just hooking it up to the front, pressing a button, and essentially we actually could get ozone coming through here, uh, that I can inject inside a dental abscess. So yes, a certain ozone gas concentration inside the dental abscess, especially let's say if you have somebody who's pregnant. You don't want to give them antibiotic. That's actually more detrimental to their unborn baby than it will be an ozone gas injection. And this is actually more effective. Uh, and of course, we would attach a needle here and inject this into dental abscesses. This was a quick overview of ozone gas in dentistry. If you want to learn more, I'm going to go in depth on how you can buy an unsophisticated ozone generator and start helping your patients and generating more income in your practice by actually doing something super helpful. Whether you're treating cavities, you're doing fillings, you're doing extractions, you're treating gum disease, ozone has a place in dentistry, and I'll show you exactly how to implement this in your practice and more.
