Deciphering Dental Insurance

Foreign. Hi, everyone. Welcome to my channel. Let's talk about dental insurance. I know a lot of you must be very confused about what kind of dental insurance you have. Some of you think you have dental, but you actually only have medical insurance. And I have a first piece of advice for you know what your dental insurance is, whether it's an HMO or ppo. And believe me, you want to have a PPO insurance. You do not want HMO because it covers only the lowest level of dentistry. Then you want to know how much it covers in terms of procedures. So you want to know every detail. Usually you have about $1,000 to $1,500 maximum a year, no more than that. So everything else is out of pocket. If you own your own company, I would advise you to look into a health savings account. That's pre tax money that you can use for any medical or dental treatment. And then you get to choose where you want to spend your money, not your dental insurance. Keep in mind that the offices, the dental offices will bill on your behalf. However, we're just doing this as a courtesy to you. Not necessarily we're not entitled. We don't have to do this. We just do it because we like you to have the best care and experience possible. But it's ultimately your responsibility to know what your insurance covers, what it is and what you can do with it.
