Hi, everyone. I'm Dr. Sandha. It's almost Halloween, and I know a lot of you have kids and you're wondering, how in the world am I gonna prevent cavities for my kids? So I have a few good tips for you in this video. Number one, you know, I know kids are gonna go out, they're gonna eat candy. It's just it. You can't substitute every candy for something that's healthy. So if they're gonna eat the candy, make sure it's nothing sticky. So caramels, bananas, things that are really gooey and stick to your teeth, those cause the most decay. Chocolate, believe it or not, doesn't cause that many cavities. So try to control what kind of gooey stuff they're having. Encourage them to have maybe like, vitamin gummy bears, if they're gonna have some kind of gummy bears, at least with no high fructose corn syrup. But what's most important is that they will brush or at least rinse with water right after they eat the skin. Another important point is a lot of you might not know about chewable probiotics. And really chewable probiotics can really help keep down tooth decay or cavities for your kids. So have them chew on a probiotic every evening. It's actually sweet. It tastes like candy sweetened with xylitol, and kids actually will like it. So after they brush and water, floss, they can actually go ahead and chew a probiotic and keep cavities away.
