A short YouTube demonstration by Dr. Sanda Moldovan explaining how her clinic produces ozonated water using an ozone generator and an oxygen tank. She describes the production process, the instability of dissolved ozone (must be made daily), and practical dental/clinical uses including irrigation for oral infections, surgical abscess cleaning, hygiene procedures, and biofilm control in dental lines.

Hi everyone, I'm Dr. Sandhya. Welcome to my channel. A lot of you asked me how do we make ozonated water. So I just wanted to show you exactly how we make it. Essentially, this is an ozone making machine. We have an oxygen tank, and then oxygen goes through here, the ozone, and you can see it bubbling here through the water. So ozone is basically three atoms of oxygen that are connected together, and as soon as it enters the water, it actually populates the water with ozone. Ozonated water is actually something that we have to make every day. And the reason is if you leave it overnight, by the next day it's just going to be pure water. It's no longer going to be ozonated water because ozone is not a stable molecule. So what do we use ozonated water for? For example, if you have an oral inflammation or any kind of infection in the mouth, we like to irrigate the mouth with ozonated water. Because ozonated water really helps keep clean any kind of bacterial, fungal, parasitic, or even viral infection that might be sitting over there. So we use it in our hygiene department to clean the teeth. We use it during surgery to clean abscesses. We use it to clean our dental lines on a regular basis to make sure we don't have any biofilms there. So in our office, this is a valuable tool to have. And again, it's all natural with none of the chemicals. If you have any other questions about ozonated water, go ahead and tweet me or send me a message right here. Until next time.
