Dr. Sanda Moldovan (biological dentist) explains what new patients should expect on an initial visit: completing medical/dental history including supplements, brushing/flossing before arrival, and recommended diagnostics — a 3D CT jaw scan, facial/mouth photos, and salivary diagnostics when indicated. The diagnostics are justified with specific diagnostic goals (assess root canals and bone healing, detect cysts, evaluate sinuses and TMJ, identify gum disease/cavities/yeast/genetic inflammation). After diagnostics, the practice presents a personalized treatment plan including natural therapeutics and supplement recommendations.

Foreign thank you for making the decision to come visit us for your initial examination and treatment. If you've never been to a biological dental office before, I want to tell you what you will experience on your first visit. Number one, please make sure that you complete your medical and dental history as well as give us a list of your site supplements that you are taking. So that's right, not just medications, but the supplements that you are taking so we can make the appropriate recommendations. When you come into our office, please go ahead and brush a floss properly so we can do a thorough exam. Number one, we always recommend a CT scan which is a 3D imaging of your jawbone. The reason why I need this to diagnose the right treatment for you is so I could see inside the jawbone. To see are your root canals in good shape where your wisdom teeth were extracted? Are there issues there? Did your bone heal okay? Are there any cysts farther in the jawbone that need to be addressed? Are your sinuses clear or are teeth being affected by sinuses? Or the other way around? There's a lot of reasons why a CT scan is highly recommended for examinations. This way we can properly diagnose and treat you better. The second thing that will happen after your CT scan is photos of your face and your mouth. The reason why we do this is so we can properly identify TMJ problems, so we can identify gum recession bite issues and really help us see if fillings are cracked or chipped or perhaps corroded in case of mercury fillings. Another thing that you might experience the day you're coming in our office is a saliva test. If your gums are inflamed or you have a whitish tongue or you have certain sensations in the mouth, we will recommend salivary diagnostics. A salivary test allows us to see if you are prone to cavities, if you have active gum disease, if you have a yeast infection in the mouth, and also if you're genetically predisposed to inflammation. After we're done with these diagnostic requirements, then we will present a personalized treatment for you and we will make the necessary recommendations for supplements. Supplements such as anti inflammatory homeopathic drops that can actually help you heal and treat some of the conditions in our practice. We're also very proud to offer therapeutics that are natural, natural mouthwashes that actually have an effect in your mouth that have been scientifically proven to get you to optimum oral health. We're looking forward to seeing you and giving you the optimum smile that you are envisioning.
