Hi everyone, I'm Dr. Sanda. I wanted to show you how to use your oral irrigator today. A lot of you are complaining that it's too messy, that you know it's too heavy. You don't have room by your sink in the bathroom. But you know, you can get one very, very small today that you can actually carry with you everywhere you go. This is small enough that I could put in my carry on luggage when I travel because it doesn't require much space and it also holds the charge for a good two weeks. So a couple things before we start. Definitely you could use lukewarm water. You don't need to put anything in your oral irrigator. All the studies show that it works just with water and a lot of times it actually cleans much better than string floss, especially around your dental implants. So number one, start from the upper right and kind of go along. Stop a couple seconds in between each tooth. Once you're done with the outer part, do the inner part and then do the same on the lower. Keep your lips sealed around the tip to prevent water from spilling. And you don't have to look in the mirror. Okay. You want to bend down and actually look down at the middle of the sink. You don't have to look up in a mirror. And then secondly, try to hold this as vertical as possible. You don't have to rotate it, especially if the reservoir is in your hand. You actually just move your head around so you get more efficient use of this. All right, so here we go. I also have a washcloth which I like to keep right in front of me to prevent splatter. I'm going to start on the upper right. I like to stop it in between each use so I could turn it around. And the bottom. And now going on the back side of the teeth, you really have to tuck in your chin to be able to get the inside of the lower anterior teeth. So here you have it.
