Foreign welcome back to our series of how to boost your immune system. Today's topic is vitamin A. A lot of you might not think vitamin A is important for the immune system, but it absolutely is. You might think vitamin A, oh yeah, maybe retinol. It's good for the skin, absolutely. But it's also good for the skin of your lungs, which is the lining inside the lungs. Vitamin E is great for supporting lung lining. Institute of Functional Medicine put out a botanical recommendation for patients based on the research we have today. You can find that on our website orasana.com and the recommendation is to have vitamin A in 10,000 to 25,000 IUs daily. You have to be careful with vitamin A not to overdose on it. There is a toxicity that is associated with vitamin A. So I highly recommend also that you don't use a synthetic form of vitamin A, but you actually use a natural form of vitamin A, such as beta carotene. You can also find vitamin A, of course, in foods. Anything that's orange in color will have tons of vitamin A, like sweet potatoes and carrots for example. Orange, orange squashes, very important sources of vitamin A. But also if you suffer from any kind of respiratory tract infection or chronic condition, inflammation, supplementing with vitamin A might give you relief from these symptoms. So vitamin A is a highly anti inflammatory vitamin and together with the Orasana chewable probiotics, it, it actually helps protect the line, protect the lining of your respiratory tract and that starts of course with your nose and throat, your mouth and down into the airway.
