Dr. Singh starts a 10-12 part series on autoimmune disease from a functional medicine angle. He argues conventional medicine's immunosuppressants come too late, and explains autoimmunity as the immune system mistakenly attacking your own cells. Many people carry autoantibodies without symptoms, existing on a spectrum he'll explore through root-cause strategies.

Guys, this is Dr. Singh. So this series I'm starting on the autoimmune, it will be a very interesting, very comprehensive topic. So probably, you know, it will be made in like 10 to 12 parts. So why is it so important, right? Autoimmune diseases have become rampant in today's age. Why, right? There is The issue is, you know, with the conventional medicine approach, it's too little and too late what's been done, right? It is— the options are the immunosuppressants, the biologics and all that. But there's so much under the iceberg. There's so much root cause approach which we need to handle, right? So in this series. So stay tuned. So I'll be talking about that. But briefly, I'm going to talk about like what is autoimmune. Autoimmune is basically when your immune system, the immune cells, which are supposed to protect you from the outside invaders, you know, the infections, the tumor cells, the cancer cells, the bugs, the bacteria, viruses, it starts acting against your own cells. It's like, you know, you have the cops which are supposed to protect you from the bad guys, but if the cops start attacking the good people. So that is what autoimmunity is. So let's talk about that. Let's talk about from the functional medicine standpoint, and it will be a little long series because so much is going on and so much is on the spectrum. Many people, they have autoimmunity developing, they have already antibodies developing, but they don't have the symptoms. So let's see what we can do. Okay. I'm sure you wanna love it and it's going to be very useful for all of you. Even if somebody's suffering, not suffering, it's very important to protect us from this kind of stuff.
