Chapters
Having a healthy mouth, the byproduct will naturally be a beautiful smile. What we do is we take the patient's existing smile. We have molds and models. We will create mock ups because we want to see where the smile is going. You always want a blueprint, right? And it's a great way to manage patient expectations and my own. I want to know what's possible before I start treating a patient. After the planning process and during, we look at the patient's facial structure, we look at the patient's features, their coloration, and really hone in on the different details and nuances of the smile that really accentuate things for them. Once that's done, we actually start the process and what we call prepare the teeth. If we have to remove any old restorations, like any old veneers or crowns, we do that. If there's decay or anything that needs to be, be cleaned out, anything that needs to be done from a health perspective is done that time. Then the patient is wearing temporaries or a little prototype for a couple of weeks. While our lab, while our ceramist is handcrafting these veneers or crowns. These are all made with like a paintbrush by hand. So there are a lot of nuances. Once the final teeth are ready, we take off the temporaries. We try in the final smile, we take photographs. Once the patient approves of the smile and we think it looks great, then the, the teeth are finally cemented in.
