Was the confidence always there? Absolutely not. But a lot of times it doesn't matter. You just do it anyway. I graduated from dental school a while ago. I've been doing this for almost 20 years. I believe businesses kind of take on their own life and their own identity. So my business has undergone several transformations. When I just started, I was working for others. I was working at 1.7 days a week. I knew that a lot of hard work would go into this, and it really gave me the opportunity to see different practices and what I did like and what I didn't like. And what happened was, with all the practices I had been in, I didn't really feel that any of the visions there were aligned with where I wanted to go with my career. So the biggest transformation was starting my own practice. That was challenging at times, but really one of the best things I think that I decided to do. It really gave me the freedom and the flexibility to build something of my own with my own vision tied to it, aligned with my values, really been one of the most pivotal decisions that I've made in my career. And speaking of confidence, was the confidence always there? Absolutely not. But a lot of times it doesn't matter. You just do it anyway. That's kind of what people say about motivation, too. Do you have to be totally motivated to take action? No. How many days of the week are you going to be? 100% motivated? And if we rely on motivation and confidence, we might not get as far as we want. I would say action over confidence and motivation.
