A short YouTube segment featuring Dr. Victoria Rose Veytsman warning about unlicensed or underqualified providers performing cosmetic dental procedures—especially veneer application—and stressing that such complex restorative work requires years of training and proper licensing. The speakers caution consumers against short-course certifications and bogus credentials.
New York City cosmetic dentist Victoria Weitzman says it takes years of training to perform complex procedures like veneer application.
I have not heard of the profession of veneer attack. This is all news to me and it is highly concerning. There is no one that needs to be placing veneers or doing any dental procedure, let alone highly complex full mouth reconstructions. Restorative veneer procedures. That is not a licensed cosmetic dentists.
Buyer beware. They may not be dentists. They're not licensed to practice dentistry. Instead they take a short training course and receive a bogus certification.
We're with patients 4, 5, 6, 7 hours at a time. There's so many things that happen that you have to be prepared for. You have to be able to properly diagnose, do a smile design, plan out a case, present all possible options, deal with any complications that may happen. These are all things that you can't teach in a weekend course. If there are massively steep discount and quick fixes and a major upsell, I would definitely consider those red flags across the board.
