Patient Case Study With Dr. Victoria Veytsman

Hi, I'm Dr. Victoria Veitzman. I'm a cosmetic dentist based in New York City and Beverly Hills. Let's review an interesting case about a 34 year old female that presented to our practice that had a history of trauma. She, when she was younger, hit her front tooth and it then discolored and then she had gotten bonding on the front tooth, which over time she had to get done again and again and again due to chipping discoloration. And there's this such a common problem that we see. She really wanted something a little bit more permanent and wanted something a little bit more stable for a cleaner and fresher look. People come in for so many different reasons and sometimes signs of trauma don't show up until years and years later, which is what happened in this case when the tooth discolored. In this case, we restored her smile by removing any old bonding she had on that one discolored tooth in the front. And we did a smile redesign for four front teeth. We lengthened the teeth a little bit and we also did some gum recontouring with laser on the front four teeth to help reshape the gum tissue for more aesthetically pleasing shape. And we completed this case with four handcrafted porcelain restorations. It just goes to show you that you don't need to do a full smile makeover to have big impact.
