Dr. Victoria Rose Veytsman, a cosmetic dentist in NYC and Beverly Hills, describes a case of a 28-year-old patient who previously received eight Lumineers at age 17 to hide decalcification (white) spots after braces. The patient was unhappy with their size, color, and bulk; Dr. Veytsman replaced them with ten handcrafted porcelain veneers to achieve a more natural, camera-ready smile.

Hi, I'm Dr. Victoria Veitzman. I'm a cosmetic dentist based in New York City and Beverly Hills. Our 28 year old patient presented with eight lumineers that were placed when she was 17 years old. Lumineers are a brand of veneers that are not designed specifically for your smile or handcrafted and they really give a cookie cutter look. She had completed a treatment of braces for three years and after removing them noticed she had a pattern of white spots, spots called decalcification spots on her teeth. Because of this, her mother took her to a local dentist that had placed eight lumineers on her teeth in hopes of covering up those spots. She was always unhappy with the size, the color, the shape and how bulky these lumineers appeared on her teeth. She wanted a more natural look so she could confidently smile again. We achieved this smile with 10 porcelain handcrafted veneers for this patient that always has to be smile ready for the camera.
