Hey there. Welcome to the High Income Business Writing Podcast. I am your host, Ed Gandia, and this is the podcast for business writers and copywriters who want to earn more and less time doing work they love for better clients. This episode is a little different and much shorter than usual rather than my typical 45 minute format. Today I'm sharing a quick tip with you and this is part of the regular audio insights that I publish for my private coaching clients. I just thought you'd find it helpful.
So here we go.
I hope you enjoy it.
How do I grow my income? That is one of the top questions that I get either directly or indirectly from coaching clients, coaching prospects. And I can see why. I mean, I ask myself that question all the time. It can seem so overwhelming, you know, gosh, there's so many things to do and especially today, there are so many recommendations and so much content and information. It's like, where do you even start? It feels like there are a million things you have to do, right? But when you think about it, there are only five ways to change your business and to change your life as a result. When I say change your business, I'm talking about making real improvement in your income. Number one is to increase the number of leads you generate, both outbound and inbound. That's the one that most people tend to think about. Okay, so that's kind of an obvious one. But let's look at the other four because these are not quite as obvious, or maybe we don't think about them as much. Number two is to increase the number of leads you convert into clients. So turning more of these leads who were interested prospects who were interested into profitable and even better recurring clients, longer term clients. Number three is to increase the number of projects you land. So the frequency of transactions. In fact, think of it as frequency of transactions because you know you might be selling other things, not just your services. So just more transactions, more frequency. Definitely a big mover. Number four, increase your fees. There are always opportunities to increase your fees. There are opportunities with current clients, but the biggest opportunities tend to be to increase your fees with new prospects. They don't know what you normally charge. And I find that most of us are typically undercharging, so that's a huge lever to use.
