Welcome to the High Income Business Writing Podcast, helping you propel your writing business to a whole new level. And now, here's your host, Ed Gandia.
Hey there.
Welcome to another episode of the High Income Business Writing Podcast, the number one podcast for business writers and copywriters who want to earn more and less time doing work they love for better clients. With over 1 million downloads from listeners just like you across 101 countries, this episode is much shorter than usual. Rather than my typical 45 minute format. Today I'm sharing a quick tip with you. This is part of the audio insights I publish for my private coaching clients every weekday and I thought you'd find it helpful. So here we go. Hope you enjoy it.
Want to know what really drives success in your freelance business? It's not the big moves. It's not the massive goals. Not even the fancy business plans or expensive training programs or certifications. No, the real magic happens in those tiny moments. You're often tempted to skip that 15 minute LinkedIn session you almost didn't do because what's the point? The follow up email you nearly postponed because it's been probably not going to matter anyway. That slightly higher quote you almost talked yourself out of sending because they'll probably think it's too expensive. Here's the fascinating thing when we look back at our biggest breakthroughs, they usually started with these micro moments. Those small decisions that felt insignificant at the time. Think about it. That major client you landed, it probably wasn't from some huge marketing campaign. It was from that one quick follow up call you almost didn't make. Or from actually reaching out to that referral you were scared of contact, but you figured, oh what the heck, I'll send them a quick email just so I say can say I tried. That game changing project came because you spent 20 minutes tweaking your messaging one random Tuesday afternoon. That rate increase that transformed your business. It started with one tiny moment of courage when you quoted higher than usual. I've seen this play out in my own business countless times. Some of my most transformational breakthroughs came from simply paying attention to those micro moments, recognizing them for what they were and choosing to act instead of waiting. It wasn't about having perfect timing. It was really about seeing an opportunity to make forward progress and seizing it. Life has a funny way of throwing obstacles at us when we're trying to level up. Basement floods, kids getting sick, Murphy moving into your spare bedroom. You know what I'm talking about. But here's the truth. You don't need perfect conditions or huge blocks of time to make progress. You just need to recognize and seize these micro moments. Because success isn't built on those rare days when everything aligns perfectly. It's built on all those tiny moments when you could have easily said not now, but chose to take action anyway. So next time you're tempted to skip that small action because it feels insignificant, just remember, this might be one of the most magical micro moments that changes everything for you. Well, that's it for today.
I hope you enjoyed the episode. And just a quick reminder to grab your free copy of my latest book, Earn More in Less Time the Proven Mindset, Strategies and Actions to Prosper as a Freelance writer.
