So Dario is the face of AI now, and it's quite puzzling to say the least. To the MAGA movement, he is this doomer scientist who actually wants regulatory capture by saying that we need to pace the frontier. And to this SNL sketch, he's this punchline mad scientist of a character. So we see both sides of the horseshoe politically all converging on one figure, and it's Dario. What I see as a hypnotist is this guy isn't just a CEO, he is a symbol of artificial intelligence. And he knows it because he sees himself as a religious leader. He used to work at OpenAI with Sam Altman, but then he left to start his own company when OpenAI was clearly on the winning side. And not only that, he held the line against Pentagon pressure and refused to let them use Claude for all sorts of military purposes. And so what we will witness in these next few weeks is a Dario that has gone from being this tech scientist guy to now speaking for all of AI to all of America. And the question isn't whether he's right. The question is, how will he hypnotize a variety of different audiences to bend the world to his will. I'll be breaking this down as it happens.
