Home Inventory AI with Bar Codes, Receipts, Photos, and Owner Manuals

HomeZada's AI automatically catalogs household items from photos, barcodes, and receipts, extracting brand, model, serial number, purchase date, and value. The demo shows it working on a Vitamix blender, Samsung Galaxy phone, Sub-Zero refrigerator, and other items, then links to owner's manuals and warranties for each.

Today we're going to talk about Home Inventory AI and how it's the most powerful and easiest way to take an inventory of everything in your home, no matter what approach you take, whether you're taking photos, photos of barcodes, receipts, even owner's manuals. A quick recap on what the challenges most consumers face is they don't know what's inside their home. They think it's too time-consuming to take an inventory. They're not prepared to file claims. Their maintenance costs go up because they don't know what needs to be maintained and how often. Home Inventory AI makes this super easy because you can take close-up photos of items. It'll automatically detect the brand, the model, the serial number. You can even take photos of receipts. The AI will process that and save it. It'll even find owner's manuals and parts lists for your individual inventory items. And you can even take pictures of rooms and it's going to automatically detect all those items. Let's go do a quick demo. Here's Homes Auto, which is a digital home management platform that manages everything about your home in one place. That includes inventory, maintenance, projects, and finances. And users can log in with any device they want— mobile, tablet, or desktop— and you get an amazing user experience. But we want to go and delve into the inventory section. Most people will click on All Spaces, and you can see here a gallery of all the rooms in your home. I've set up this space called Items to do— show you how powerful home inventory AI is. So here I've got a picture of a blender with the barcode on the back. From here, the user can hit photo recognition, and essentially it's going to pass the photo to the home inventory AI embedded inside of HomeZada. And you can see it's identified the blender. It's a small appliance, $400 Vitamix model, serial number, and etc. Once you're done with that chat, if you go to the lower right-hand corner, you can hit save item. And you can make any adjustments here if it didn't get it completely right and hit the Save button. And now you got other choices because the system can track multiple photos. You can go back and review the item, or you can find manuals, which we'll do here in a second. Let's go back to the item. And now let's look at a different instance of doing a home inventory with a receipt. So many people will go through and take photos. This is an old phone and that I had a copy of a receipt. So here, when you have a gallery of multiple photos, you can come over here and hit select and choose which item you want. Now we're going to process that via AI with the receipt. So as that processes the information, it's detecting all the items. It notes that that receipt was for a Samsung Galaxy that I bought. It's got the exact estimated value. It's even got the purchase date, where I bought it from, and it extracted all that information directly from the receipt. Same situation, you come over here, hit Save Item, make any adjustments if you need to, hit Save, and look how easy that is. Obviously you could go back and pick those other photos if it didn't pick something else as well. So now let's go to a different item. Let's go to my item here, which is my refrigerator. So sometimes you have items where you don't actually have access to the barcode because it's in a Installed behind a bunch of cabinets. So now maybe the only thing you really know is that it's a Sub-Zero and it's something called 632. So you can still process AI recognition for that particular photo, and it's going to try to do its best again to identify the item here in terms of it's a refrigerator, it's a big appliance, Sub-Zero 632, but it doesn't know the make, model, and serial number, right? You can come in here and hit Save Item. Make some changes here if you want. Now let's do something else, which is okay, find owner's manuals, right? So essentially now you're essentially initiating a second home inventory search that's doing its best based on that series of sub-zeros, and it's coming back with a whole bunch of different links that you can now basically come out and say, do I want to find the user care documents, the warranty, the care, the installation guides, the manuals, and the particular website? You can click on any one of these to sort of, you know, look more if you want, or you could just come down here now at the bottom right. You hit save links, right? And it's going to basically extract all those links from the AI chat, and then you can basically choose to save whichever ones you want. I'm just going to choose to save all of these, or sorry, skip that one. You hit save, and now you can come in and say review saved links. And now again, inventory item has saved every single one of those links for you. Amazing how powerful that is for creating an inventory of the things that need maintenance and care and preventative maintenance. Sometimes you're going to do an inventory on something that, you know, is a high-value item here, right? So I'm going to come over here, click on Photos again, hit Select Inventory, hit Zada AI Recognition. So again, the inventory is for both personal property contents, right? It could be furniture, electronics, etc. It's identified based on that that it was an Omega Speedmaster. Basically come in here and hit Save and do the same thing. Last item here is again, I'm just showing you the different types of photos that you can take during a home inventory. We've seen barcodes, we've seen receipts, we've seen brands where we don't have all the information. Here's an example of if I go to my multiple photos here I took, it's not really a barcode, but it's essentially a label on an item that I can again come in here and hit Zada AI recognition. Again, it's going to read all the stuff that's from essentially not necessarily the barcode, but the label. It's figured out it's a fixed appliance, it's $800, and knows exactly, you know, what all the information is. I hit Save Item. Again, make some changes if I want to. Let's do Find Owner's Manuals on this one because hot water heaters need maintenance and, you know, potentially product warranty and spare parts and whatever the case may be. Again, so now the AI tool has automatically gone off and found the parts guide, the warranty information, residential water heater information, and owner's manuals. Again, all I have to do is hit Save Save links. Come in here, and once it extracts all that into the view, basically just click which ones you want to save, and you've done an amazing home inventory on those items. Now again, think about if you're trying to sell a house or if you're trying to maintain these things. It's pretty amazing what Home Inventory AI can do within HomeZada. But you may have seen this in another video, but sometimes you may take photos of spaces. For instance, like here, I've got a space of a great room. Notice it has no items, but I've taken 2 photos. The AI tool at this point, if you're doing it with Spaces, instead of detecting the individual close-up item, it's going to try to do its best to detect all the items. So you can see here it's created a whole bunch of items for the sofa, the loveseat, the armchair, all these personal possessions. Again, same concept, hit Save Items, make adjustments if you want to. And then go back and pick another photo or review the inventory. Just as another example, because I think it's important, different type of example, which is you've got a picture of a whole bunch of equipment. So this is kind of like things that need maintenance. Again, same thing, the AI works. It doesn't matter whether it's a personal property possession or contents of your house, or if it's, you know, building materials, equipment, appliances. So it's basically identifying for you that you've got a pool pump, filter, heater, control box, and some piping. Again, quick and easy way to create an inventory for just about anything in your home. Now that you've seen how easy Home Inventory AI is, we encourage you to go to homesada.com, sign up for yourself, and start taking an inventory of all the things that are important to you inside your home.
