Hi everyone, Beth Dodson here with Homes Out. I hope you're having a fabulous day. Today I want to talk to you about a question I get asked frequently, and that question is, how or where do I get started on taking a home inventory? So let me give you some tips. The first one is take a look at what's most valuable in your home, and value has two components: dollar amount or something that's special to me. So when it comes to dollar amount, we take a look at jewelry, artwork, we take a look at wine collections, we even take a look at antiques or passed-down items. So take a look at that and you can get started with those items first. Or you look at your precious items, things that are extremely mementos, special to you, and they mean something to you. Maybe it's a family heirloom, maybe it's children's artwork. So you want to take photographs of those as well. So that's one area to get started. The second area to get started is room by room. Just pick a room and walk to the next room, pick a room and walk to the next room. This is really easy as well to use HomeZada's video and AI recognition to quickly take room views or room home inventory using video. The third area is floor by floor. Many people have multiple levels to their home, and when they do that, they often forget That they jump around to different rooms. So my suggestion is start room by room, pick a room on a floor, finish that entire floor, then go to the next one, and so on and so forth. The 4th area that I would recommend as well is maybe you want to start inside your home, but maybe some people feel that the most valuable items or the things that mean the most to them are outside their home in barns or sheds or outdoor furniture or what have you. So choose whether to start inside or outside. So the 4 areas to get started are valuable items to you, room by room, floor by floor, or outside versus inside. Now, there's a couple of other little tips I want to give you. So when you are taking a home inventory, remember to open closet doors and take pictures and videos inside those closets. Remember to open drawers and cabinet doors because there's items in there as well. Remember to take a look at sheds. Offsite storage units, barns, or any other structure you have on your property. Also remember that this doesn't have to be hard. It doesn't have to be challenging. You can actually make a game of this with your family. So for anybody who has signed up to use HomeZada, you can invite as many family members as you want into the HomeZada account using an email address. And once everyone's signed up, you can assign people a room and they can run around and take those photographs and those videos. And then they can come back and you can reward people who's done the most thorough home inventory. Now, some people have children and they don't have email addresses yet. You can then pass around your mobile phone or your tablet, and those children can take the same home inventory of a particular room. You're just timing it now, so you can just have a great time with it. So taking home inventory does not have to be hard and it does not have to be complicated. We want to make it as easy as possible for you, and we've done that at HomeZada. So quickly, I want to remind you, you can actually log in at www.homesada.com to access HomeZada on your desktop or on mobile phones or on tablets.
