In this instructional video, the presenter demonstrates how HomeZada’s platform integrates a homeowner’s inventory with their insurance policy to provide a clear view of coverage adequacy. The dashboard displays the total value of inventory items ($176,000) alongside the current policy limit ($150,000), highlighting a potential $25,000 underinsurance gap. The interface also shows policy expiration, payment frequency, and cost details. The speaker explains how users can manage personal property coverage, especially for high‑value collectibles that are often excluded from standard policies, by adding scheduled coverages or riders for items such as antiques, jewelry, and sports memorabilia. By clicking links, users can navigate to the inventory app to review item values and then update coverage amounts directly in HomeZada, which automatically adjusts the policy limits. Additionally, the platform offers a secure area to store important insurance documents, aiding disaster and claims preparedness. The video concludes with a brief thank‑you.

Understanding your home insurance policy is important to assess if you are properly insured. With Homes Auto, we actually integrate the policy coverage with your home inventory. The chart on the left is showing you in the first column the total value of all the home inventory items that you've itemized in your property at $176,000. The column on the right says you're currently covered under your insurance policy for $150,000, which means you might be underinsured by $25,000. Over on the right, it's showing you how many days until your insurance policy expires. And as you scroll down the list, you can track more details about your policy, including the policy cost and the timeframe in which you're paying it, whether it's going to be a monthly or a quarterly or an annual payment. And down below that is the important area where you can track your individual policy coverages for the dwelling, the structures. Here's the personal property coverage. And there are 2 reasons why people are underinsured on personal property. One is the total value is greater than what's covered. And the other is they oftentimes have highly collectible valuable items that are excluded from a standard policy that need to be added as scheduled property or riders. Here you can see on the right-hand side we've got from an integration to our home inventory $9,700 worth of antiques, $10,500 worth of jewelry, and you can see we've entered in those additional coverages. But perhaps you may have collected some other high valuable items like sports memorabilia and done an inventory. Where if you click on that link, it'll take you to the home inventory app and it's going to actually show you the different sports memorabilia and the value of those particular items, which is going to give you a great reminder over contacting your insurance company to make sure you get those things properly covered. When they are properly covered, all you have to do is come in here and enter an amount, and then it's going to automatically increase your coverage. Also at the top, you can also track all of your important insurance documents. Again, from a disaster and claims perspective, you want to keep these in a safe place, so it's a great place to use HomeZada to track those important documents. So thanks for watching this video.
