Beth Dotson shows how to move items between rooms or across properties in HomeZada. Select items in Home Inventory, tap the zero icon, choose Move from the action bar, pick your target home and space, then confirm.
Hi everyone, Beth Dotson here with HomeZada. Thank you so much for joining us today. I wanted to tell you a little tip about HomeZada today, and it's one of these tips that some people are unclear of or unsure of, so we wanted to make it really easy. So when we take an inventory and we take a photograph of an item that we have in a particular room or space, we oftentimes move that item. And so it may be a piece of furniture, it may be a decorative item, it may be something that we have in our garage and maybe we move it to a newly built shed or barn or something to that effect. But one of the things that we get asked is, because I did that physically, can I now move that item inside HomeZada to the new space? And yes, you can. So not only can you move it to the new space, but you can also move it from property to property. Case you had an item in one area, maybe in your Florida home, and then you decide to take it back to your New York home. You can actually move that as well. So let me tell you a little bit about how you can do this. So the first thing you do is you go to Home Inventory, you go to the space, you then go into the items themselves, and you're looking at all the items in that space. At the top right corner, you're gonna see a checkbox and A check and select, and you're going to click on that. And then in every item space, you're going to see a little zero, little zero, and it's going to appear. And inside that zero, that's where you can actually click to move the items. So you click the item you want to move. There is an orange bar that will appear at the bottom of the page or your app, depending on what device you're using. You then select The move function at the bottom in that orange bar. It'll say select all, move, delete. We'll get into the other things, but you're going to select move. Then you're going to choose which home and space or which space you want to move that item to. And then once you do that, you're then going to select the teal move. Button. So that's the next step. Once you've selected the item, you've selected the teal move button, the item will be in the new space of the new property. So we wanted to make this super easy for you. This is just a simple tip, a helpful tip on how to use HomeZada, and it's one of these things that I'm a big fan of because I'm constantly moving things between spaces and spaces.
