Hi everyone, Beth Dotson here with HomeZada. I hope you're having a fabulous day. Thank you for watching this video, and I invite you to subscribe to our YouTube channel at youtube.com/HomeZada. So today we're going to talk about how easy it is to track warranties inside HomeZada. So first we're going to start off with the types of warranties that may be around your home. The first type is large equipment, and that could be anything from an air conditioning unit to a hot water heater or something of the like. The second thing that we also look at is appliances or electronics. Those appliances can be large or small, so they can be refrigerators and stoves as well as blenders and coffee makers. We also want to help you take a look at warranty periods around projects that you've done around your house. Oftentimes the work itself has a warranty period, and 2, the products that are used in that project itself may have a warranty period. And then if you have purchased a brand new home from a home builder, generally there's a warranty period on the entire home. Please consult your home builder to determine what that warranty period is and what you need to do to make sure that that home stays within warranty, because there's some tasks that you also need to do. But when it comes to tracking these warranties, it's important because because as you go through life, we get busy, and additionally, we may not always have the data of those warranties in the same location in your house. And oftentimes you have to keep that information in your head, which becomes very frustrating. So by using HomeZada's inventory functionality, you can track these warranty periods, and it's as simple as taking a photograph of the actual item itself for instance, a hot water heater. You take a picture of the item, you enter in the data about that item, like the make and model number, when you installed it, when you purchased it, and then the warranty period. HomeZada will then send you a reminder 30 to 15 days prior to the expiration of that warranty expiration date. And that's important because you no longer have to remember the information in your head. The system will tell you when that warranty period is coming due. And now you have the warranty periods of all of your equipment all of your appliances, all of your electronics, and all of your projects. Now, why would this be important? Because most people end up spending more than they need to because they forgot to check the warranty periods for their equipment and appliances, etc., prior to the expiration of that warranty. And by checking that information, you could determine if any of that info— those products and/or those projects that you've done have any problems. I know I experienced this personally with a hot water heater. Something did not get resolved and I had to replace it just after warranty, but it was brand new and it should have lasted me a very, very long time, and that was a very expensive endeavor. So by tracking these warranties and checking on the information about these projects, these equipment, these appliances, etc., You will also save money in the long run. So it's very important to do all of this inside HomeZada so that you get the reminders so that you no longer have to manage these warranty periods yourself. So I invite you to check it out.
