The video tutorial explains how a home maintenance schedule promotes safety, health, and energy efficiency, and walks first‑time users through HomeZada’s dashboard to personalize that schedule. Starting from the Review Maintenance Schedule button, the presenter shows how to access the Recurring Schedule tab where HomeZada auto‑generates 50‑60 common tasks. Viewers learn to delete tasks that don’t apply, edit existing tasks (e.g., flushing hot‑water heaters), watch How‑To videos, assign responsibility to third‑party service providers, and adjust task frequency. The tutorial also demonstrates creating brand‑new recurring tasks and adding seasonal or additional recommendations from HomeZada’s extensive library, filtering by task type or time of year. The overall message is that customizing the schedule helps keep a home operating efficiently while reducing energy costs.

Having a home maintenance schedule keeps your home safe, healthy, and operating efficiently, which can reduce energy costs. Starting on the maintenance dashboard as a first-time user, over on the right-hand side, select the Review Maintenance Schedule button, and this will take you to our Tasks page, specifically the Recurring Schedule tab, where HomeZada has automatically created 50 to 60 common tasks to remind you of things that need to get done around your house to keep the house operating efficiently. This is where you can now start to personalize the schedule for your house. For instance, we may have predicted that you have a crawl space. You may live in a house that doesn't have a crawl space. You can just easily delete the ones that don't apply. You can also edit the ones that do apply. So for instance, flushing the hot water heaters. Oftentimes this is a task most people aren't aware of they should do. You can click on the How To button and actually look at a video that's going to show you how to do it yourself. Or a lot of people may have a third-party plumbing service or cleaning service do the work for them. So you can click on Responsible and click on an entity that might do the work for you, and it becomes a task management way of managing third-party tasks. You can even change the frequency. We suggest doing it once a year, but you could choose to do it twice a year or quarterly, and it's automatically going to create the corresponding number of tasks. You can easily add your own recurring tasks. All you have to do is go in the upper right-hand corner, select Recurring— Create Recurring Task, enter in a name and a frequency, and you're off to the races. If you go to the Recommendations menu at the top, HomeZada also has a huge library of additional recommendations for you to personalize your own home maintenance schedule. You can filter these by different types. You can even filter them by different times of the year in terms of seasonal tasks. For instance, here, here's our Inspect Automatic Garage Door Safety. All you have to do is click Add Task and hit Add, and you've added that task to your schedule. So thanks for watching this video on creating a home maintenance schedule for your property.
