In this monologue, Ed Weeks Jr., founder of HV Social Media, reflects on the unique communication and marketing landscape of the Hudson Valley, noting how it differs from larger cities and upstate regions. He observes an influx of residents from New York City into towns like Beacon, Poughkeepsie, and Kingston, which is reshaping local business dynamics. To address these nuances, Ed announces the launch of a new weekly podcast called "Hudson Valley Business," aimed at helping entrepreneurs, freelancers, artists, and other professionals succeed in the area. He outlines his personal background—born in Newburgh, raised in Highland, now living in Poughkeepsie—and leverages his experience across multiple industries to provide a distinctive perspective. The podcast will feature guest interviews, vlogs, and YouTube content, delivering practical insights and success stories. He concludes with holiday wishes and an invitation to tune in in 2019.
