Hey everybody, it's Ed Weeks Jr. I'm the founder of HV Social Media. You can see way back there my desk where I usually shoot videos. Wanted to come to the front of the office today just to change things up. Today's video, real quick, all about if you're ready as a business to outsource your marketing and you're looking at a niched marketing agency. That is an agency that is solely in your field, meaning a plastic surgeon agency, a law marketing agency, an accounting agency. Anyone who is just marketing for a specific industry, you want to avoid, period. Let me explain. Real quick, why. First off, you could simply go out, look at your competitors, find— if you're doing digital perspective, you can find keywords they're targeting, you can find the ads they're running on Facebook, on Instagram, on Google. You can really hone in and find everything you want on your competition and simply mirror that and put it out to the public. That is essentially what a niched agency will do. Their expertise is in helping, yes, your specific niche. The problem is, from a creativity perspective, from an authenticity perspective, you're losing that. You're truly losing that. They're really regurgitating ads that have worked in other, uh, with other people in your line. Why would you want that? The strength of hiring an agency who works across multiple segments is they bring that fresh perspective to your business. They bring that fresh strategy, those new ideas that can help take your digital marketing, even your traditional marketing to the next level. So many business owners are really, really confused. When I hear someone say, oh, I only want to work with someone who is— who works exclusively with plastic surgeons, I know right away it's not a business that I want to work with. They're not understanding the creativity aspect, the originality aspect that an agency like mine brings to the plate. Period. That is huge. In this day and age, you can do a really, really phenomenal job of developing a social profile that you can really drive targeted, potential targeted customers to everything that you put out there. You could be very authentic. You cannot do that through a niched player. That's just the facts. I see it over and over again. I see it in my local market. I've seen it with websites. I've seen websites of restaurants that have used one web designer, same template, same layout, same boring-ass websites for so many of the restaurants in my area. Same thing goes for traditional TV. Personal injury attorneys. How many commercials are exactly the same, just trying to get you to pay attention to the same freaking ad for a new personal injury law firm? It's crazy. And that mentality comes to digital and it doesn't have success. I'm out here trying to fight the thought that digital marketing does not work, that Facebook and Instagram marketing does not work. I'm clearly telling you today is that it works. It works well. The costs have gone up, but it still works really, really well. Whoa, almost lost everything there. See, real video, no editing, authentic. So the costs have gone up on Facebook, they've gone up on Instagram. Everybody knows the expense that Google can have with it. Do you know how cost-effective YouTube ads are? There's certain industries that can do just absolutely amazing things. And what I think most people fail to realize is that today's digital landscape allows you to test and test and test and test. It's not traditional, it's not print, You don't have to come up with an idea and run with it for the next 90 days. You don't have to come up with a huge production for a TV commercial and let it run for 3, 4, 6 months on TV. You can change really on the fly and adapt. And you might as well use just really original ideas, creativity. And understand what can happen from there. So I'm going to grab this, I'm going to walk around my office a little bit. I just want to let everybody out there know that again, if you're looking to a, uh, a niched marketing agency, please consider looking to an agency in your area that is solely focused on just being the creative juice that you need. What I'm finding a lot in my own market is people really need the strategy. They don't know what the heck is going on when it comes to Facebook, when it comes to Instagram, when it comes to YouTube, when it comes to their SEO. They've been burned by so many players that really have no idea what they're doing. So I'm giving you my one tip here. Avoid the niched marketing agencies. Go with an agency who can help a number of different— I've worked across on 30+ industries now with over 100 clients, probably closing in on close to 200 clients that I've worked with to be able to drive specific strategies that have helped at the end of the day drive the bottom line, which is hopefully as a business owner what you really want. So that's all I have for you today. Hope it just gets the thought process working the way it should and hope it saves you some money. Peace.
