Rick Grimes started Soul Corps in April 2016 after hip replacement surgery, looking for core strength work. He's been going three times a week for two years. Classes stay small, under 15 people, so instructor Ekimba can give real attention to each person.

Well, my name is Richard Grimes. Actually, I go by Rick. And I've been a participant with the Soul Corps classes since April of 2016. And so I'm beginning my second year. I'm really enjoying working with these classes because I've had a couple of surgeries that have resulted in hip replacements on right and left side. And doing therapy afterwards, I became aware of and the kind of work that Akima does with people on really focusing in on core strength and joints and the emphasis of our spines. And so I started the classes. I came on a Saturday to a free class and really enjoyed it, and I couldn't believe the difference it made in just an hour. And so I joined up and I've been taking classes on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays, you know, for two years now. And it came gives a lot of personal attention, which I really appreciate. The classes are reasonably small when you have 15, maybe max, and get down to fewer than that. But it's a really positive group, and I think that's really benefited me as well in terms of interacting with a lot of folks that really believe in what the Soul Corps offers. So I highly recommend it. I think everybody has opportunities once a month to take part in the Saturday classes to see if you like it. But it's a wonderful technique, and Ekimba is very skilled, really knowledgeable, and so I appreciate his personal attention. So give it a try.
