Welcome to the youe can have it all podcast, brought to you by me, Emma Naylor, life purpose, coach and mentor. This podcast is for ambitious and motivated women who are ready to take the next step in their life. To support them in turning their dreams into reality, to help them and guide them to turn their magic back on, step into their purpose and live their most authentic life. Good morning, good afternoon, hello to everyone who is listening to the podcast. This is the first episode of you can have it all. As you are probably all aware, for existing listeners, the pre previous podcast was called all is Wellness. I absolutely loved hosting that podcast and interviewing the most inspiring men and women in the wellness industry. When I first started that podcast, I really did it as a passion project. I was so early on in the start of my journey of showing up at the start of this year and I thought the best way to start showing up is to interview other experts, experts and other industry leaders. Now looking back, I know that came from a place of fear. It came from a place of worry about being seen. I thought it was easier to interview other people because they had something exciting to say. And don't get me wrong, the interviews I did were absolutely incredible and I spoke to some of the most inspiring men and women that I know in this industry and beyond. However, where I'm at now, I'm at a place where I want to bring my listeners value from me. I'm going to be interviewing amazing people in the industry and beyond, but I'm also going to be bringing you weekly solo episodes and really sharing the raw details and, and sharing the raw information about the journey, about my journey, about things I've learned and really sharing my learnings with you all. I am so excited to have you here listening to this podcast and as it says, you can have it all too. So I just wanted to start a little bit by introducing myself. So my, my name is Emma Naylor and I'm a life purpose coach and mentor. I work with women, ambitious and motivated women who are ready to step into their power, turn on their magic and live their most authentic life. My background is in corporate. I spent lots of years in corporate. After university I went into corporate because it's what I thought I should do. I thought I should be working in a desk job. I thought I should be climbing up the corporate ladder until I realized that that was so misaligned to me and there's going to be so many of you listening right now and thinking that's me, that's where I'm at. And it Resulted in me essentially having a burnout, a breakdown. And that came in the form of me realizing I was drinking and taking drugs too much and that I needed to halt and I needed to take a step back and change the way I was living. Because quite frankly, there wasn't going to be much left if I continued. So just after my 25th birthday, I decided to get sober. And that's for a different. That's for a different episode. I decided to get sober and my life just changed from there. Now, has it been smooth sailing? Absolutely not. There's been ups and downs, there's been bumps in the road. But one thing I can say about my journey is that it's been an amazing one and I wouldn't change it for the world. So I decided that I was going to invest in myself. I got a therapist, I got a coach. I started going to AA meetings, you know, listening to the self help podcast. Basically a mix and match between everything I could get my hands on. Free resources, paid resources, whatever it was. I knew I had to make a change. And from then, I made changes in my careers, my friendships, my homes, where I lived, how I lived. But the one thing that has been the most consistent and the biggest change has been the change within myself. I wake up happy, I wake up sober. I wake up content. And I wake up knowing that I'm living my life in alignment and in purpose. Now, there will be some of you listening, thinking, I don't need to give up drinking, I don't need to do this. And the point in this is not that you need to give up drinking. It's that there are things in your life that are holding you back, that are pulling you down, that are stopping you from reaching those goals. And in order to get to that next level, in order to make that change, the first thing is identifying and acknowledging what it is that you need to change. Now, as I said, I am a life purpose coach and I work with women who are ready to make that change. One of the biggest things I've noticed, and again, I think this will resonate with a lot of people who are very early on in their journey or yet to start their journey, is that fear. Being full of fear is a reason so many of us, including myself, don't start to make change. I was in a place where things were so bad, but at least I knew what bad looked like on the other side. I wasn't guaranteed results. I wasn't guaranteed a better life. I was guaranteed a different life. And where I was at right now, different seemed so scary, so far away. And. And yet sometimes I thought it was easier. Well, a lot of the time I thought it was easier just to stay exactly where I was because at least it was comfortable. I was comfortable being uncomfortable because it was known now. There was something in me that said, this is not the life you are meant to be living. And whether it was my spirit guides, whether it was a higher power, as we talk about in sobriety and in aaa, or whether it was just me thinking, I have had enough of your Emma. There was a change. There was a light bulb moment. There was a moment in my life that I thought, this is your opportunity to make change. And if you don't take this opportunity and run with it, this opportunity may never come back to you. You. And I sit here today so thankful that that opportunity came around, smacked me in the face, and made me change direction. I've changed direction multiple times. For anyone that knows me really, really well, I change direction often. I change my goals. I change my vision. And the reason I kept changing was because I was going after the wrong things. I wasn't in alignment. I wasn't going after the things that made my heart sing, that set my soul on fire. And I'm really glad I didn't find my thing or my purpose or my meaning so early on because it meant that I could do other things and learn from those journeys and see how I call them journeys, not failures, not mistakes, because I learned from them. And I really want to change this narrative around failure. I often hear it in the corporate world. I often hear it in people that work for those big, big companies, you know, that don't get the promotion, that don't get the pay rise, that don't close that deal. It's a failure. It didn't work. I want to change the narrative around that and really start talking about the fact that they're learnings. I want to talk about the fact that there's no such thing as failures. We need to start rewiring our subconscious. We need to start reinforcing the positive side of learning from things that didn't go to plan in our mind. And often there are things that didn't go to plan in our mind that actually paved the way for another beautiful journey, that if that thing had worked out, we wouldn't be on this journey. So I'm going to keep this first episode pretty short and pretty sweet because I really, really want to invite you to start looking inwards and really start having a look for the last 73 days of this year. If you're listening to this today, on the day that it launches, there's 73 days left of 2021. Now, I've just got off the phone to one of my best friends and she's made a massive change in her life last week and we were speaking about that today and she said, where do I want my energy to be energetically? Where do I want my energy to be at the end of 2021 going into 2022? And I really, really invite you to take some time, sit down, journal over how you're going to use the last 73 days of 2021 to get you where you want to be. And that doesn't have to be in a job or financially. Please look inwards of spiritually, emotionally, mentally where you want to be by the end of 2021. I also invite you to start thinking about 2022. You know, I've seen so many things saying, oh, 2020 wasn't my year, 2021 wasn't my year. There's still time to make 2021 your year, but I invite you to start looking at 2022 energetically. How are you going into 2022? Are you leaving 2020 and 2021 in the past? Are you allowing yourself to move forward? Are you energetically changing and shifting to really, really go into 2022 head on, looking at it dead in the eyes, knowing that 2022 is going to be your year? I hope you all have a fabulous, fabulous week. As I said, I'm going to keep this episode short and sweet, but we will have new episodes every week and I'm so excited to have you on this journey. I I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your week and I will see you all next week. Thanks for listening to this week's podcast. We really hope you enjoyed it. If you did, please head over and leave us a review. Remember to subscribe so you're the first to know about new episodes.
