You cannot receive in a hand that is clenched shut, that is gripping and trying to control every little thing. If you are trying to control every single step of the way, you are not leaving room for divine intervention. You are not leaving room for things to work out in ways that you never could have expected. The way that I met my fiancé, I never, ever, ever could have predicted. In fact, it came after I gave up. I'm gonna focus on making my dreams come true. And then I actually met my fiancé while I was working. So I just happened to find and meet somebody that wanted to help me make my dreams come true while I was focused on making my dreams come true. And he has helped me exponentially. Like, it literally felt like God had made him and designed him to be with me. It was just clear as day, so obvious. And so the point is that I was pursuing my life when we met. I was working, pursuing my dreams, creating, not desperately scrolling the dating apps trying to figure out somebody to date and trying to find someone.
