It definitely can translate to any new skill, really, but especially something where you're in kind of a community or, you know, with others. With an official term or not, it definitely illuminates the internal dialogue that can happen in any circumstances when it comes to comparing ourselves to others, the belief that we're supposed to show up a certain way or that others believe a certain thing You know, this just really invites compassion for the inner dialogue that shows up. Because for everyone that has that syndrome, so to speak, right, there's a whole lot of different reasons why they're feeling the way they're feeling. But often it can just be as simple as the comparison jackal. And then the beliefs that are underneath that. Well, don't say anything unless you say it perfectly. Or everybody knows more than I do, or, you know, I've been an imposter your whole life. We're never really who we say we're going to be or something like that. Like, it depends on the people. But in any situation, you absolutely can have that internal messaging that freezes you up, probably in any context where we're trying to fit in or belong or be good enough, you know, to matter. Where there's a perceived evaluation, right, a perceived belief of what the standard is that we might believe we're below. The key is to allow it to be there. Notice it, be the observer. Oh, I'm telling myself I don't fit in here. I'm telling myself I'm a fraud. I'm telling myself blah, blah, blah, whatever the dialogue is, and then lean into it and harvest what's there. Why am I doing that? Right? Protection, safety. There could be good reasons why we're doing it. But then also, what needs are here for me? What am I longing for? Emotional safety, belonging. Authenticity could be a big one with this fraudulent idea. Once it's discovered, do what we would do with any discovery. Lean into it. Oh, what's the good reason why I'm doing that? What's the thought here? What am I longing for? Oh, I'd love freedom to be authentic and to be in integrity with my true identity.
