How these uni students made it to Dubai ($0 to $10k/mo 2 months) agency

Johnny and Ollie, university students, built a social media marketing agency to $10k per month in two months under Eric Kavelaars' mentorship. They discuss the niche-specific guidance that accelerated their growth and how community support shaped their mindset shift from zero to running a profitable business.
Hi guys. So we're currently at Atlantis Royale in Dubai with the boys. Johnny and ollie went from 0 to 10k per month in about 2 months. I've actually earned the mentorship and now we're out in Dubai having a crazy time. We actually drove Lambos here and yeah, it's been pretty, pretty crazy so far. So. Yeah, if you guys want to introduce yourself.
Yeah, sure.
Hey guys, I'm Ollie. Yeah, like Eric said, we're both. Me and Johnny are both uni students. We're originally in the gym niche, running SMA in the gym niche and we recently switched to real estate and yeah, ever since it's been going really well.
Solid sold.
I'm Johnny, obviously business partners with Ollie as well. Like I said, we've been doing SMA for probably like a year and a half, not really seeing much success. And we joined Eric's mentorship around two months ago, told us to switch. Nice. And here we are in Dubai right now.
Yeah.
How does it feel being Dubai by the way?
No, pretty, pretty wild stuff.
Changes your beliefs completely. Yeah, yeah, you can't really experience it until you're here like actually living this life. Yeah, yeah, it's pretty crazy as well.
Yeah.
Well, what have the, the friends been saying back home?
Oh yeah, the friends have been popping off to the story like Lambo. It's like they can't believe it because they're all in like universities.
Yeah.
And we're just here like we're meant to be doing exams in a moment's time. We're just chilling in Dubai right now.
Yeah.
Cuz these guys are still in university by the way. So these guys are in Dubai pulling pretty good numbers in. Still in uni. So it's, it's pretty wild stuff. I mean you guys only have one semester left. It doesn't really make sense to drop out, but.
But yeah.
So tell me a bit more about the history. So you guys were in the, the gymnafour and how long were you at? When did you actually start your journey in sma?
Yeah, yeah. So.
So we like everyone, we saw like Iman Gaji videos like Thomas gonett, probably like 2023. We tried a couple niches for like a few months at a time. Not really much success. And then we switched into the gym niche and we were in that for probably like eight to 12 months. We got to like couple of k a month, 3, 4k. But it's nothing like crazy, not consistent. And then yeah, we realized we needed like an SMMA mentor to really take things to the next level. So yeah, we saw a few client interviews of Eric's and then a few YouTube videos and then thought we'd just pop in a call.
Yeah.
And yeah, like here we are now.
Yeah, now our new bias. So did you guys join any other programs or stuff like that in the past or.
Yeah, we had like a gym like owner as like a mentor. But what we realized is that you, you kind of need someone specific who's done exactly what you want to do. So like Eric, he scaled his agency like 40, 50k a month and learning from someone who's done that, that's obviously gonna shortcut your, your like progress to, to get to where you want to be. So that's why we felt like we really needed a mentor. Because you can either trade it like time or money, but like if you're trading with time, time, it's going to be two, three years. We see success. You might as well pay that money, get the right mentor, the right education and scale much quicker.
Also having an actually niche specific mentor. So having a mentor who's actually done what you're trying to do rather than just a general business one is huge as well. Because we had a mentor who was working with gyms in the fitness space, which was good. I mean those businesses are very difficult to scale. But when you actually get an SMMA mentor and you have other people that are inside the mentorship, inside the community that you can actually talk to, like there's so much value going on. There's so many people talking about loads of different things which you can all just literally straight away just put into your agency and just make more money because of it.
Yeah, yeah.
And I've been, I feel like even some of like the, the coaching calls you guys have been on, even just like hiring out like Aaron and Daniel as well, you guys have probably got a ton, a ton of value from that too.
100% Daniel and Aaron. So it's like it's not just Eric as well inside the mentorship, even though Eric's obviously very good. But, but yeah, like there's sales, there's like real estate, this service delivery. So whatever bit like if you're concerned about or what it was, for me it was like the worry like not knowing if I could actually deliver the service. So like it's hard self conviction and that sort of thing, but knowing that you've actually got people in your corner who can really help you, it's just way better. It's just, yeah, it kind of gives you that peace of mind. Which is almost like the biggest, the biggest reason I joined, to be honest. And it's. Yeah, it's paid off.
Yeah, I think for me it's really like the beliefs. Because before I thought like it was really hard to sell these high ticket packages, so I'd never really done it before. One day I think we were on Eric Call. He just told us to like switch to like a paid in full offer. Like the next two shows I had, we closed back to back Piffs. Like it was like 6k in two days. It was really wild. And obviously like not having a mentor, not having someone show you that you can do it, it can be quite challenging. But like having someone in place, it just breaks your beliefs and just allows you to scale like so easily.
Yeah, yeah.
And I feel like even like getting out to Dubai and seeing all the boys in person, you guys have already learned like so much. Just in like literally like five, six days already. We've only been there for.
I literally did not think, I didn't think we'd like roi this much coming to Dubai. And like there were so many things that I thought were the best things to do to scale. And it just turns out like there's so much that you don't know and there's no way of knowing what you don't know. So you kind of, you need that sort of community to help you out and like push further. Show you stuff that you didn't know before.
Yeah, yeah.
100. And what, what else have you guys like, what did you guys specifically learn? Let's say just for the audience, just get some sauce. Like what did you guys specifically learn that actually once you got to Dubai, you guys actually learned. I think one of them was like hiring.
Right. Okay. Yeah.
So I've got like two things with like my biggest takeaways. The, the first one was like hiring, like you can literally hire cold callers on commission. So just paid at close. We, we originally thought that you had to pay like per show or per booking as well. So we, we didn't want to go under like that. But yeah, you can literally just hire an ar. Yeah, so we thought you had to pay for show or stuff like that, but you can actually like hire people to work for you on commission. So you literally only pay them when you make money. And yeah, likewise. Before I was just like, I thought we had to do it all ourselves. I thought this was just had to be us and that's tied up like all our time. So yeah, just keep it like a bit short and sweet.
Boys, like, just hire out.
You can hire on commission. You don't have to do all this yourself, but you can get your time back and make money with sma. With business models like this, like, it is definitely possible.
Yeah.
And what. What about you? What did you actually learn?
Yeah, I don't think it's, like, anything specific, but, like, just being around, like, different boys, different guys doing, like, levels above you, you're just going to learn, like, little nuggets, little pieces of information. They're going to help you scale, like, way further.
Yeah.
Just like sales advice. But I think you can only really do that by connecting with people in these rooms, in these mentorships. But then when you meet each other in person, then I think it takes us to the next level, really, because you couldn't.
We can literally just talk to Eric.
Like, all day long, get pieces of information we never would have known. And same with all the other mentees as well. So I think that's the huge plus of being in the mentorship like this.
Yeah.
And the feds are kind of after us right now. But even, like, being in. Even being around Moritz, like, the guy who's made 100k in the past seven days, like, you guys just. I feel like being around that type of energy is also crazy. Like, someone who's making you guys. It's like almost like 10x your money is, like, insane.
Yeah. Yeah.
He's also 18.
Yeah. Yeah.
Multimillionaire. Just living with us. So I think even being around that is, like, huge as well. But you guys have also met other guys on the yacht as well. Like, we were. And other mentees from the yacht as well. That was pretty cool. Pretty crazy time.
All the other guys as well. Like, I feel like they're so similar to us. Like, instantly, we all kind of, like, clicked straight away. We all get on so well, and we're already talking about, like, moving in together, like, having a, like, SMA house where we can just progress, like, way quicker.
But yeah. Yeah.
I mean, even in, like, even in.
February, we're getting called up.
Even in, like, February, we're, like, trying to. All these guys are even thinking of living together just in Dubai. These guys have exams to take care of. And then after that, after. In January and February will be good.
Yeah.
So. So, yeah, the.
Yeah, it's.
It's definitely good stuff. So we're gonna keep on filming. This guy's trying to shut us down right now, but we're gonna keep on going, so. Because we gotta get this out, so. So, yeah, I mean, what, what else, what else did you guys like learn specifically mindset wise in the mentorship? I think a lot of it was beliefs, right?
Yeah.
Okay.
So I thought like the, all the mindset stuff was like absolute rubbish life. It was like kind of woo woo or like just complete waffle pretty much. And then I was like, oh, you know what? I see some other guys who are doing it. Like, I know I can get the results these guys are getting, but this the only thing that is different that they're doing that I'm not. And as soon as I sort of started doing these methods that are in like the mentorship, I guess we just made like way quicker progress and it just, it makes work easy essentially. Like I'm, I'll happily grind today, wait, pause or happily like work on the agency, like longer hours and those sort of things. And it's actually fun. So I'd say the mindset stuff is like huge. And I never would have discovered that anywhere else, really.
And what would you say, just wrapping up here, we'll be like, we'll be like two, three more minutes, but just, just wrapping up here. What would you guys say to someone who's thinking of actually joining the mentorship, who's kind of on the edge, like, yeah, what would you say? Just like honest thoughts, you need a mentor.
I'd say that, like, realistically, like mentorships like this, like entry level, like, like I don't know what else you're going to do with that cash. Like, you're never going to get higher ROI than if you invest in yourself and if you invest in a mentorship, especially this one, because it's very good. But yeah, all right, we're getting arrested, boys.
But yeah, that was whole cloud entry, guys. We kind of got asked to, to leave at the end, stop filming and stuff like that. They literally stepped in front of the camera, as you guys saw. But that was pretty brutal. But the clown tree was absolutely insane. Had close to 10 mentees fly out from all other places of the world and live with us on the villa on the Palm neighbors Charlie Morgan for the week. So that's pretty crazy stuff. Next one's actually going to be in Cape Town. And yeah, if you guys obviously want to join the strips and become a mentee of mine and scale to all these record numbers like these guys did as well, all you have to do is just message me on Instagram, just look my name on Instagram, just air Cavaliers. And yeah, you guys can just message me on there, tell me your story. If you're obviously an agency owner, tell me what you're doing, kind of what average you're doing right now, where your story is kind of where you're at, where you want to get to all that stuff. And, yeah, I'll talk to you guys very soon. So, yeah, take care.
