Growing up in an Asian household, I've never had the most aesthetic house. I had mismatched wood furnitures and random things just thrown around the house. So when I finally moved off campus and got the chance to decorate my own home from scratch, I went just a little bit crazy.
Join me as I move into my first non dorm college house. I loved LEGO as a kid, so this is gonna be kind of fun. I'm excited. It's been two hours since I started this, so seems like I'm not as good at Lego as I thought I was. Look at how big these screws are. This time I have a drizzle. Thank you. Oh, I'm so glad it's finally done and all there's left is decoration. I have all the basic stuff. Maybe I'll find a rug.
But yeah.
My room decoration is finally done. So let me take you on a tour. Here is my desk.
I purposely chose one with an elevated.
Area for my monitor because I be sitting like a shrimp sometimes. So over here I have my little diffuser with a bunch of different scents. And then here I have an IKEA.
Lab with a color changing light bulb. Like here I can dim it. Yeah, I can dim it.
And there's like really fun presets. Like if I wanted to do a little party. Wow. Here are my best friends just hanging out with a paper cutout of a naked woman by Matisse. Here we have a hand woven throw. It was a little bit pricey. I think it was $139. But it's from a small business and we support small businesses on this channel. Then here we have the iconic Keith Haring LED light that I got last year. I don't know, I think we're missing something here. I also have my tripod ominously waiting for me by my bed like this. And people are saying I'm doing suspicious things, but they just don't understand the life of a content creator. So if you can tell, I really like colored lights and just weird accent items. And I think it really reflects my really random personality. Kind of all over the place, but yeah, onto the rest of the house. This is our amazing landlord.
Furnishing the living room room was hard as we had nothing at all and we basically killed an entire forest. They say that home isn't a physical place, but the people you're around. So my roommates and I decided to host a housewarming.
It is week five of our college experience and we're finally ready to like show off our home to a bunch of people. So we're currently getting ready for our housewarming. We invited around 30ish people. I don't know how that's gonna be, but yeah, exc. This is the inspiration for our charcuterie. I don't know if we can achieve it, but. Stop it. My roommate's being annoying me. Being the excited host, I prepared a charcuterie board and even made a poster to hang up in our house. Our first guests are here. Overall, I would say our housewarming was a success. It was physically warm, but also filled with love and laughter as everyone made this beautiful space feel like home to me.
