moving to sf with my best friends

A casual YouTube vlog-style conversation among friends who have moved into an office in San Francisco and are making it livable. They give a tour of the space (workstations, living-room area, conference rooms, bathroom), plan furniture/food runs (Costco, Trader Joe’s, IKEA), assemble and test items, and joke about food, sleeping in the office, and renovation plans.

I just arrived yesterday, and this office is so cold.
It's very cold.
Cold. I said cool and cool. It's not cold. Anyways, we are doing a little, like, office work situation. So it's our goal to make this really nice. So today we're making it livable. So we're gonna do a Costco run. We're gonna do a Trader Joe run, Ikea run. But let me quickly give you guys a tour.
We have intended this space to be the living room area. We have many visions of a rug and a funky couch and lamps. And we just got a record player from Facebook Marketplace on the other side that we'll show that we're gonna put here. But these are the vibes. Chilling the no work side of the office. And all of the window panels will be cleaned in due time. They're very dirty.
And I'm gonna give you guys a tour of this side. So this is our. We put it right in the middle because we are artsy like that. Exactly. We made sure everyone has height adjustable standing desktop and a beautiful apple desktop because we are Steve Jobs here. Now this, the previous owner bought it from a Filipino artist who came in here to assemble it from scratch. The symbolism is that it's the threads that connects us. You know, a quote, hard person is connected in some sort of way. And. And this resonates deeply with Sonder. Yes. Okay, here we have a bunch of conference rooms and shit.
Yeah.
And then this I'm gonna turn into a bar. I'm gonna make crazy ass cocktails.
Oh, great idea. Like, uh.
Oh, this thing cost $50,000. Bathroom. It's pretty nice. You have one bathroom per employee. Yes, we designed it. That one.
We have a mirror.
No one will have to, like, deal with it. We have a really nice bed.
It's so bougie.
Look at it. This is like a gym bathroom. It's. All we're saying is this house has a lot of potential. So it's gonna be a very exciting renovation.
Yeah.
I like the vanilla one.
Yeah, I don't think it's.
Best haul complete. Can you hold the car? Sor.
It's like an Andrew Huberman level. Like, you know, like, what kind of snacks actually make your brain go faster?
I don't understand.
Slower. Oh, it's like a. He's like a Stanford professor who does a bunch of, like, medical research on, like, nutrition, healthiness.
Like, so what are the best snacks for your brain?
I feel like having, like, things with nuts, dark chocolate, things with, like, protein. Things that are, like, light carbs that like, keep your energy going. We don't want like the snacks to like, replace a meal.
That's true.
And you don't want to like, get like sugar high and sugar crash. So something in the middle.
Oh my God. And I'm done. Yeah. We got this still from Ikea and it's impossible. My ass is fat.
Can I sit on it and take a break?
I'm not done screwing it. We're not done. No. Your ass will actually fucking break it. Yes. There we go. Okay, done. Yay. How many people can we fit on it? Yeah, we couldn't. Pretty sturdy.
Woo.
Good. The setup, two days. How do you like living in an office?
It's very nice.
Yeah. She hasn't showered in two days. She hasn't showered in two days. But yeah, it's pretty fun. I still like leave the office every day, so it's been pretty chill.
Yeah. We ordered for pickup though, because we're.
This is one of my. Patsy was actually one of my favorite.
Yeah, I always order Patsy. You know, one time I was on a date and he like, did not want to order Patsu. And that's how I knew that we would never stay together.
We're going furniture shopping.
Goals for today. Find couch, find table, find rug shopping. Can we get this?
Let's see.
Got milk?
I.
With that. I respect it.
I respect it. Get your calcium. Yeah.
No.
Doing the new pretzel club chicken sandwich at Chick Fil A.
You got the spicy one and I got the grilled chicken. Okay. Upon first review, it looks nice. I think the presentation is good. Look at that. Wow. Okay, cheers.
Cheers.
Oh, mine has bacon in it. Yeah, mine's got two. It feels more premium.
Like it actually does. Let me think about it.
Fine. I'm not even done chewing. Okay. It feels like I'm eating at a.
I don't like that.
You don't like it. It feels healthier too. Actually.
I just don't like grilled chicken.
This tastes like.
That has nothing to do with the pretzel.
But this is better than I remember it being.
The spicy chicken.
No, but like, even compared to like a regular sandwich, this does feel. This is really good.
I do like it.
Yeah, it's like a high eight.
High eight for fast food. I'll try yours. You can raise 2.75 million and still feel poor.
Yeah, something like that.
Leslie's kind of stuck back there, but semi successful. We didn't get any big furniture, but we finally have a painting. We finally have a lamp. And we finally have a singular ottoman.
We have seating that's not functional, so that's a. It's a step up for sure.
This is gonna be rough. I can't lie. So, yeah, good taste takes time.
Yeah, it'll take a couple of weekends.
Just a couple. You're so useless.
Okay, 90 degrees. Oh, you got a dump truck?
I drove into something. I don't know.
Okay, let's measure how tall he is. Is he 511 or is he 6ft? Let's check.
Oh, he's giving. 5, 3, 5, 3.
How about you guys just. Hey, don't yell at us.
That was epic.
That's not good.
Oh, my. That was pretty epic. He's being so useful. This is where you're sleeping tonight?
Yeah.
This makes a really good floor.
Actually, Totally could make us more.
Wait, no. Okay. It would be super philanthropic of us to leave this box outside. I'm falling out.
Two, one.
Dude, we did sync up. You ruined up.
You just. I know how to bring that.
