$654 Ad Spend → $30K in Roofing Jobs (Copy This Exact System)

Fidel Guajardo shows how a $654 Meta ad spend generated $30,000 in roofing jobs. He breaks down the four-part video ad structure (callout, hook, value proposition, call-to-action), precision Facebook targeting, and lead filtering. The real problem for contractors is trust, not lead volume.

I'm going to show you exactly how to become the most trusted home service in your market, whether you're a roofer or contractor, because one of my roofers spent $500 in ads and he secured 7 roofing jobs that he's going to make a total of $30,000 in profit in just 3 short weeks. And no, he's not a marketing genius. He didn't have to buy leads. He didn't have to do cold calling. He didn't have to door knock in order to acquire these leads. What we did is we made him the trusted roofer in his market, and now he's absolutely crushing. So in this video, I'm going to show you exactly how to run Meta ads that are going to attract your ideal clients. In the market that you are in so that you can stop buying leads or doing the outbound methods that don't work anymore. And you use the power of social media so you can leverage way more deal flow and grow your roofing company or your contracting business. So stay tuned to the end of the video because you're going to be able to apply these things into your business and start making more money. So first things first, I want to show you his ad account. For the last 30 days, we have only spent around $654 and he is already making $30,000. So I'm going to show you the type of ads that are working very, very well. Because if your ad is not good, then nothing else going to matter. But before I play you the ads, what I want you to know is that you don't need to be this overly produced content creator when it comes to filming ads because the whole philosophy is that people that see the ad want to work with you as the person in the video. So our job is to convey exactly who do we are, how do we help them, what is the problem that they are having and how they can trust us for us to solve the problem that they already have. And then there's just a lot of stuff that we can do on the backend on Facebook to ensure that they that they are a high-quality lead when it comes to the targeting, the messaging, the qualifying questions using conditional logic within the lead form, or if you're sending them into your website, how do we install a pixel to ensure that the quality is there? So with that being said, I want you to be authentic and I don't want you to think of the ad as an actual ad, but rather the local trusted roofing contractor that's going to be able to help the neighbor because that's the vibe that we want to see. So check it out. So pretty basic script. And then we have another one where it's more— So when you are filming ads, there's 4 things that I want you to think of. Okay. Number 1, it's going to be The callout. The callout is basically who's this for? Depending on the area that you're at, maybe you're in Dallas or San Antonio. San Antonio homeowners, if that's the only area that you, that you serve, you want to make the callout as clear as possible. So alongside with the callout, you're going to have the hook. What is the thing that's going to watch the video, right? So for example, do you have a roof that needs a replacement? That is a super basic hook and I would never use that, but that is pretty much the first component of having a good video ad. which is the callout, the hook, and how can you make it enticing enough so people can keep on watching, right? So after the hook, you're going to have what's called the value. What do you do? How do you do it? How do you help them? In what time— in what timeframe, right? So you want to think of the value equation. So, so value is what is the dream outcome and what is the perceived likelihood of achievement minus less time delays, effort, and sacrifice. So all this to say is when you talk about what do you do and how do you do it, you want to position your brand and your services as a premium option. If you can do it quicker than somebody else, that you get a warranty, who do they talk to whenever they book in a call? You want to expand on the best things that you do within the business so that you can showcase those in the ad, right? So we have the callout, you have the hook, you have the value, and at the end you have the call to action where you tell them exactly what do they need to do next in order to contact you, right? Example is like, click on the link down below to receive your free estimate or your free roof inspection. And that's pretty much going to be the callout. So if you want to make a good ad, there's the 4 components that we need to have if you want to ensure that your videos are going to be good. And now I want to talk about the main problems that I see when it comes to roofers or contractors, because they think that they have a lead problem, but they have a trust problem, right? Because the thing that we could do is if we pour more money into leads where nobody kind of knows your name, then it's going to be very hard for you to fill your calendar. So that is exactly why we want the ad to be very compelling about what do you do, how do you do it, and then show as much proof as possible. So by the time that they see you and they look for your company, they can see that you have some sort of proof and that you're not going to be a scammer. But basically, whoever is the most known in the market is going to be the one that is actually going to win. And if you can pretty much showcase a good ad where you talk about the problems, they are going to submit their information. And then at that point, it's your job to ensure that you actually land a deal, right? So in essence, everybody wants more leads, but if nobody knows who are, the leads just mean that people are, you know, just kind of being a tire kicker. And that is not a lead problem. You have a trust problem, right? Because more leads is not going to equal directly into more revenue because homeowners are going to shop around and they're going to find the roofer that's going to charge them the least amount of money possible. So you got to be able to showcase what do you do and how do you do it well, because being good isn't good enough, right? You got to be able to understand and you need the new game of marketing to ensure that we can get clients at a good cost. And the main problem that I see is that most contractors roofers, they are still running on the same outdated methods, right? They will either do door knocking or cold calling. Now the problem with door knocking is you are interrupting their day, right? So I know that you may be out there in a neighborhood where you are fixing a roof. Well, that has no leverage because they didn't say that they want a roof, right? So you are kind of chasing instead of attracting. The same thing with cold calling. Now with the new regulations, you go into the spam filter, you have the 10DLC regulation. So we don't want to talk to people who don't want our service. Or the other thing that I see is that they only depend on referrals or word of mouth, which is good because it's pretty much free profit. But what happens when the referrals stop? You won't be able to feed the crew. And if you want to have the best way that you can actually scale your roofing company, you want to make it as predictable as possible. And that is what we do with the inbound ads. Now, the other big problem that I see is that people buy shared leads. They're going to— They're going to be using Angie or something, but the problem is that you're paying $200, $300, $400 per shared lead. And you're fighting with other competitors in your market who are still using the same provider. So what we want is to be in a category of one where people know us, trust us, like us, and they want to work with us, right? Or you may have used an agency that burned you because they don't know how to run, you know, a real business, or maybe they sent you like all this junk and people that were not ready to do it. And now to give you context, I, I built a 7-figure wholesaling business and flipping business in a way harder niche because we don't control fulfillment. We got to be really good at sales because we purchasing properties at a discount and we got to manage the construction and we only get paid 3 or 4 months later. So if we're able to do it in that niche, we can do it in these other niches because you guys actually do control the fulfillment and the client actually pays you, which means that you make money quicker and you can reinvest it back into ads at a much quicker pace and therefore scaled even more because now your bottleneck may be getting a new crew to fulfill on all the jobs. But what we want is an automated and predictable way of acquiring new customers because we're pretty much buying new roofing jobs. Because if we know that our cost of acquisition of getting a new client can be sub-$1,000 and we're making $4,000, $5,000, $6,000 per job, at that point, we want to spend as much money as possible in marketing as long as we can fulfill because we know that those marketing dollars are going to give us a return back. And that is exactly what we want. And that is why I'm a huge proponent for you to own your marketing instead of depending on these other methods and then just Get on with the new way of getting leads. Everyone's on social media, so people should be able to see the ads and contact you, right? And if we build that trust, everything's going to be way easier because they have seen your face, they see the work that you do, and now they want to work with you, right? So how does all of this actually work, right? So we do the purpose and then we create the demand based on the ads, right? So number one, we need the right type of ad. Number two, we need To have the good creative where it's actually good and we know exactly what we're doing based on the 4 points of a good video ad, which it was the callout, the hook, the value, the call to action. And then 3, we want to have the precision targeting. And this is more so on the back end on Facebook on how do we target and segment based on our ideal clients, right? So maybe you want to target an area where people have more money. We can use demographics where the income level is attached to the audience, or we don't want to show our ads to people who are 18 years old or 25 years old because most homeowners are 35 years old and plus. So we're going to be able to use our marketing dollars for them to be spent showing it to the most ideal client. So those are the 3 ways that we do the ads. And then when it comes to the right type of ad is most roofers are going to use the same generic ad that everybody runs, like the free inspection and fill out the form. Right. And what I showed you is kind of like a basic example. But what we want is for the ad to be compelling enough so that they can actually watch it. But then what we want is to filter it on the back in. So when they click on the ad, we can filter out anyone who's just curious and not that ready to do it. And then that is our secret sauce on how we actually do it. So that is why, if you saw from the ad account, we have a $27 cost per lead, but they're still very high quality because out of 27 leads, he got 7 jobs. So that means that out of 3 to 4 leads, he is securing one job and that is unheard of. And like I said, I was able to create this system in a way harder niche. So it works even if you have it in this market, right? And what I, what I want you to think of the ad is talk about a problem or a solution that you may have, and in a way that is simple enough for them to understand exactly what is going to know of what is going on and how you can actually help them. Right? So we want to have more of the pain-based hooks, right? Hey, storm damage, leaks, aging roofs, insurance headaches, thinking about selling. Maybe you need to remodel the property, right? The other thing would be face-to-camera content. I see a lot of people that will run static image ads, and I don't think that creates trust. I think you can use them alongside if you have a lot of video creatives,, but as a standalone ad, I don't think it works very well cuz you're not creating any trust or urgency. Right? So what works very well is if you do the face-to-camera content, even if you're not good on camera, that is the sacrifice you need to pay if you truly want to scale your roofing company because you are talking to homeowners that want to work with you. Right? So you don't need to be super corporate. In fact, you want to be more authentic cuz that's going to convert way better. And then 3, problem-first framing, right? So you want to make them feel understood before you even pitch,, right? So the ad's job is to make the right homeowner go, yep, that is exactly me and I need help with this, right? Number 2 is going to be the video creative and where the actual trust is built. And then everything else like the targeting, the budget, and the optimization, it is in service of the video. And most contractors get this backwards, right? So they spend time picking the right zip codes and the radius and thinking about whether the home and all those things instead of thinking about the first 3 seconds of the video to ensure that people actually watch your video, right? So pretty much this was what I was showing you about the 4 components of a video ad. And then when it comes to the actual targeting, how can you ensure that you can still get high-quality leads with Facebook? And some people may complain about Facebook, but there's a lot of things we can do on the backend to ensure that the quality is good. So what I was saying, we can put a pixel to ensure that we're getting high-quality leads on your website, right? We can add filters to kick out everyone that is just curious and not ready to do a job right now. So that is, like I said, our secret sauce on how we do it, but these are the main things that we are going to look. What we want with paid advertising is knowing and figuring out exactly how much money we need to invest in order to grow our roofing company. Now, what we want is the system where you know your numbers, you know your cost per lead, you know your lead to appointment rate and your close rate and your average job value. Because if you know that and you want to do 10 jobs in a month, then You will be able to know how much money you need to spend in marketing to ensure that that actually happens, right? So if we have to reverse engineer it, you can think of the revenue goal, and that's going to come from the average ticket per job. And we're going to need to know, okay, how many jobs we would need in order to achieve that. How many jobs we would need in order to achieve that. Number 3 is you got to be able to know out of how many proposals that you actually get a signed contract, which is pretty much your close rate. And then from that, you're going to be able to know, okay, how many appointments you need. And how much ad spend you need on a monthly basis in order to capture the leads so that you can have the appointment, so you can send the proposal, so that you can close the jobs and so that you can hit your revenue goal. But if you're not tracking these things, it'll be so hard for you to actually scale because like I said, it's so hard. And that is exactly what we did with my roofing client who's making $30,000 in just 3 weeks. And at this point, we haven't had to spend a lot of money. But next month we are going to crank the ad spend to ensure instead of getting 7, he can get 10 and do that consistently, right? So if you are, like I said, struggling with this and seeing how this works, you gotta be able to just kind of get with the new ways and just advertise and do it the right way so that you can get more deal flow. And like I said, if you don't know anything about me, I ran a 7-figure wholesaling business where we did more than 300 real estate deals in a way harder niche. And after I developed my marketing method, we're able to acquire customers and very cheap thanks to our ad strategy. Because my whole philosophy is that people want to work with people that they like, Trust and know. So if we can convey that within the ad, we're going to get higher qualified people. And if we talk about the problems that they may have and how our offer is a solution to those problems, they're going to be working with us. Right. And of course, we've got to be really good at sales and ensure that we have a high quality product, because if that's not true, then it doesn't matter how many leads you get. If you can't close, you can't make revenue. So, so how do you become the most trusted servicer in your market? Run ads, run good ads. Know about the targeting, talk about the problems, and don't do the generic stuff because we want to ensure that we get high-quality people. So if this was remotely interesting and you want to see how we can help you scale your roofing company or your service-based business, click on the link down below, apply for a call, and I'll walk you exactly how do we plug the system into your business to ensure that you're getting high-quality leads. We can guarantee that if you don't get at least 8 to 12 roofing jobs in 90 days, you don't even have to pay. We're so confident that this actually works, but it only happens if you put in the time, you have the budget, at least $1,000 per month, and you're going to be able to call the leads. I hope that was helpful, and I'll watch you in the next video. Bye-bye.
