In this introductory vlog, Frances Pratt addresses a common question—how to become great at sales. She argues that anyone can excel by simply being authentic. Being yourself, she says, makes selling easier because it projects confidence and knowledge, which builds trust. Customers prefer honest, transparent interactions, so authenticity aligns with buyer expectations. Pratt backs her claim with personal experience, noting she has observed hundreds of salespeople and non‑salespeople succeed when they speak genuinely about what they know. The core message is a call to action: be yourself, sell authentically, and share the results.

Hi, this is Frances Pratt, and this is my first video log for Kiss to Sell. And I just wanted to start with a question that I hear all the time from people when I'm doing training or talking to them on the phone, and that's, how can I, or you in this case, be great at sales. Now before you turn off, I just want you to know that everyone can be great at selling. And I just want to tell you why I'm so confident in saying that. I'm really confident because I know the best way to sell is to be yourself. So when people are true and authentic and themselves, then people will buy from them. Let me tell you why. Firstly, it's so much easier for you to be yourself. When you're being yourself, you come across as confident and knowledgeable, and really all of those things are a building block to trust. Secondly, the reason that it works is your customers prefer it. They want to be dealing with real people who are honest and transparent, and you can't be those things if you're not being yourself. And the third reason that I'm really confident that that's what works— being yourself— is I know that it works. I know hundreds of salespeople and non-salespeople alike, and when they go out and be themselves and talk about what they know Then they're much more likely to sell. And I tell you why— because people want to buy from people that they know and people that they trust. So go out there, be yourself, and let me know how you get on with sales.
