It's the way we look at things that make us creative. And I think for women who grow up as gifted girls, but also have trouble staying on task, get bored easily, probably aren't hyperactive, but their minds are active AF. They may talk a lot, which is how you're going to see hyperactivity play out in females. You know, you're called a Chatty Cathy. You're not physically hyperactive or disruptive. You're not pushing and shoving and can't wait your turn on the field like a little boy, but you may be constantly looking around at what other people are doing in the classroom, not because you want to copy, because you're probably smarter than all of them, but because you're curious why it's taking them so long to finish the quiz that you could do with half your brain tied behind your back. So it's interesting how Girls who have ADHD and girls who are gifted share a lot of these traits, which, you know, more easily bored. I refer to it as we treat boredom like a life-threatening condition. We have a very low tolerance for boredom and we have a low threshold for boredom.
