In this instructional video, the presenter walks viewers through the process of downloading and installing MetaTrader 5 (MT5) as a native macOS application, eliminating the need for Windows emulation or Boot Camp. He explains how to obtain the installer from the official website, drag the app into the Applications folder, and launch it. The tutorial also covers logging into a trading account, highlights the differences between MT4 and MT5, and offers guidance on migrating existing MT4 accounts to MT5—either by opening a new account, requesting an internal broker transfer, or coordinating with funded account providers like FTMO. Finally, the presenter advocates for using the desktop version over mobile platforms to maintain a professional, distraction‑free trading environment, and invites viewers to ask questions in the comments.

So if you're anything like me and you've been having to download stupid softwares to try and download MetaTrader on your Mac, or you've had to execute positions, uh, on your phone or on an iPad or something like that, you'll know how much of a struggle it is to actually try and trade properly and just to have a nice easy experience. But for some reason MetaTrader don't like to do marketing, they don't like to tell people when they bring new things out, but you can now trade natively and you can download MetaTrader natively onto your Mac. Um, it's super, super easy, and in this video I'm going to show you exactly how. Um, so yeah, let's get straight into the video. When I say it was easy, I mean it's very, very easy. So you just have to go to metatrader5.com. I'll put the link in the description below just to make it easier. Um, it'll bring you to this page here, and all you have to do really is just press download for Mac. Um, so that will download, it'll be up here. Again, I've already got it, so I can just blank that off. But essentially it will download, um, you'll then be able to double-click this here and eventually you'll have this pop up. So again, just drag it into Applications. Again, if you're on Mac, you would have downloaded a million applications, so just do the usual procedure and it will install. Um, you'll then be able to go down into your little Applications folder and you'll be able to find— you'll see MetaTrader 5 sat there. So again, it will pop up. It's a completely perfect native application, so you don't have to run Boot Camp or anything like that to run a Windows version of it. It's completely native to Mac and it works perfectly just like all of them usually would. So if you haven't used MetaTrader before on computer, then you'll probably want to watch some other YouTube videos to understand how to use it and stuff because it is um, it is a little bit dated compared to the apps. But to log into your account, you just go over here, press File, and then you can just press Log into Trade Account there. Now a lot of you will probably, probably be using MetaTrader 4. Now in order for you to use this, this is, this is of course MetaTrader 5. Now the accounts won't link up together. You'll have to, number one, either open up a new account. So if you're on a standard broker, you could you can just open a new account and get the money transferred. You may be able to speak to your broker and they may, they may just do like an internal swap over. Or if you're with the likes of FTMO, you have a funded account, again, you probably won't want to redo the challenge. So I would recommend speaking to them as well and seeing if they can just switch over from MT4 to MT5. Again, not a lot of people use MT5 as opposed to MT4. But if you're taking trading seriously, then this is certainly something that you want to do. And I would massively recommend getting MetaTrader 5 and trying to keep the majority of your trading on your computer. Again, there's so many distractions on the mobile. Keep all on your computer. It will make things much, much more professional and much, much easier. So yeah, I said very, very easy, super, super simple to do. I'll put the link to it in the description below. Of course, any questions, let me know in the comments. Um, and yeah, hopefully you've enjoyed this video, um, and I'll speak to you all in the next video.
