A performance of Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" at CITROX Field KickOff 2021, with lyrics about a city boy from South Detroit and the search for emotion. The upbeat rendition aims to energize the audience around themes of hope and perseverance.
She took the midnight train going anywhere. I'm just a city boy, born and raised in South Detroit. It took a midnight train going anywhere. Shadows searching in the night. Streetlights, people living just to find emotion hiding somewhere in the night. Working hard to get my fill. Everybody wants a thrill. Paying anything to roll the dice just one more time. Some will win, some will lose. Some are born to sing the blues. Oh, the movie never ends. It goes on and on and on and on. Don't stop believing, hold on to the feeling. Streetlights, people, don't stop believing, hold on to the feeling. Streetlights, people, don't Don't stop!
