BUSINESS KAMASUTRA

Parthiv Shah presents Business Kamasutra, which uses a seven-step dating analogy to teach business prospecting and closing. The book maps trust building, approach, and foreplay onto turning transactions into lasting relationships. Hi, this is Parthiv Shah with eLaunchers.com and EGKIC, home to Dan Kennedy and Glacier Kennedy Insider Circle in Germantown, Maryland. I am sitting here with two of many binders that I have from Dan Kennedy. I have been following Dan Kennedy and Bill Glacier and JKIC since 2009. I bought the local GKIC chapter from Ben Glass in Northern Virginia in 2010, and back in 2014, I moved it to Germantown, Maryland, my hometown. That's where eLaunchers.com is headquartered. I'm an astute student. Of GKIC and Dan Kennedy. Here I am sitting with two binders. One is Dan Kennedy's lifetime work of archives collections volume 2. Another binder is Mailbox Millions. Before recording this video, I actually counted how many binders I have. I stopped counting after 62. I tried to count how many CDs and DVDs I have from Dan Kennedy and GKIC. I have several hundred of them. In this very room, this is what I call my Dan Kennedy library. And I want to invite you to come sit here, read a book or a binder, borrow a laptop, borrow an iPad, watch a video, listen to a CD, might quite possibly change your life, your business. More money you make, more people you will be able to serve. I would like to invite you to come have breakfast with me and Dan Kennedy. Everything I learned from Dan Kennedy, I put it into this book called Business Kamasutra. In this book, I'm drawing parallels between how humans meet, date, and mate, and how companies prospect, pitch, and close. In my opinion, it's a 7-step process—sex or business. You don't want to mate the wrong person. If you do, winning will be insignificant, losing will be embarrassing. You want to know who you are, who you are for, who you want to please, how you want to please, do they want to be pleased that way, how do they want to be pleased, and are you okay with the paycheck that comes pleasing them that way. That is the core of market segmentation. Once you know who you are after, you are going to organize, orchestrate, and execute an approach. If the approach goes well, you're going to get a consent. Now, you're going to get a consent for dating, not mating. So your message at approach should focus on your dating ritual rather than mating ritual. Do you know the difference between your dating ritual and your mating ritual for your business? Once you have consent during the dating and courtship stage, you are going to work on trust. Trust is a very mathematical thing. You can establish trust by sharing information someone does not have. You can elevate trust by listening to what they are saying, understanding what they want to hear, and saying, or at least make an attempt to say, what they want to hear from you. Eventually, you will elevate your trust to the level where both parties are ready to mate. I call that trust monetization. At this point, before you engage in mating, you want to engage in foreplay. Why? It's going to add pleasure to the relationship. A well foreplayed deal means you're going— they're going to mate more, mate more often. And when they tell their peers about doing business with you. They are going to talk about the experience that you gave them. It's all about how you make them feel. How you make your clients feel is at least as important as what you do for them. And this book talks about what you can do to add pleasure to your life. If you did the rest of the process right, And if you did not skip the steps, you will be able to effectively transform a transaction into a relationship, a one-night stand into a lifelong relationship. If you come to my breakfast meeting, I will give you this book. We'll schedule a 20-minute call so we can either talk on phone or you can come spend an hour in my library. Read a book, listen to a CD or a DVD, watch a video, or ask me some questions, or just borrow a printout of a mind map so you can take a piece of what I have learned and apply it in your business. We meet every third Wednesday at Germantown Innovation Center upstairs from Montgomery College at Goldenrod Lane in Germantown in what Montgomery College refers to as Goldenrod Building. Here you will meet with me, my program facilitator Jeff Bachner, and our trust mastermind orchestrator, Dr. Hercules Pinkney, President Emeritus of Montgomery College. We would love for you to come join us for breakfast, spend a morning with us, and if you decide to stay, we will talk further about how we can work together. I would like to see you at the next breakfast. Have a nice day.
