Bobbing Along - Video Orientation Tip

Gunnar Hussain explains why you should shoot videos horizontally instead of vertically for Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram. Vertical video wastes screen space and looks worse on most platforms where people watch.
Hey, Gunnar Hussain here and I just want to share with you a quick video content creation tip. Now, I see a lot of newbies that are shooting on their smartphones or shooting videos. Should I say they're doing it in this orientation? Yes, vertically. Now that's fine if you're using something like Periscope. I've never used that before, but I believe that videos are shot this way. But for anything else, like Facebook and YouTube and Instagram, why not shoot horizontally? It's much nicer. Now, as you can see, I'm in a country park amongst the trees and you can see more of my environment. But not only that, when someone views your videos from their laptop or desktop computers, chances are the screens that they're viewing you on are widescreen. So by you shooting horizontally, you're actually filling up all that real estate, if you will, and it stops people from getting annoyed of black, either black or blurry borders to the left and to the right. So anyway, with that, I hope you find this video of value. Please like and comment. You know, I want to hear your feedback as well. I want to hear your feedback. You know how I can improve in my own videos because whilst I'm starting to do videos, I'm also learning. So, yeah, please give me your feedback and if you would like more videos of value, then please subscribe to my YouTube channel also. And with that, it's Gunnar Hussain here, over and out.
