The Importance Of Celebrating Your Small Wins

A short YouTube vlog by Gunnar Hussain arguing that people building businesses should celebrate small wins to maintain a positive mindset and consistency. He illustrates this with a recent first webinar where he contacted about 20 people, six attended, and one person bought his product; he stresses that such incremental results are progress, warns against discouragement, and urges consistency. The video closes with a standard subscribe/like/share call-to-action.

Hey, there. Gunnar Hussain here. I'm just shooting this quick video because I wanted to talk to you about the importance of celebrating your small wins. And I'm shooting this video on a new toy that I got myself, which is a mobile phone gimbal, which is a, you know, a word for stabilizer. It keeps my shots stable, and it tracks my head if I want it to. But anyway, the importance of celebrating your small wins. Now, when you're on the journey of developing a business, at the same time, you're probably on a personal development journey as well, to help you along the way. And I believe that it's very, very crucial, you know, because that's the thing that's going to give you the mindset to develop your business and to stay positive and such like. But one of the things that we're taught is the importance of setting yourself big goals and big dreams, and. And the only way you can come to that is by really thinking about what is it that you want?
Okay.
And once you've established that, you have to have that in your mind.
Yeah.
And you have to have that focus, which is good. It's very important, and it's something that I recommend. You have to. Otherwise, you have no target.
Okay.
But along the way, what. What we tend to do, especially when we're doing things for the first time. And I want to give you an example of this. Two weeks ago, I gave my first ever webinar, and I was kind of forced into it because, I mean, yeah, of course, you know, I don't have to do it, but I'm actually being coached.
Okay.
So my coach is expecting me to do the work.
Okay.
Now, with my hectic life at the moment, everything was put together pretty much the. The last minute, and especially letting people know about my webinar. I let people know on the day, okay. But anyway, I knew I had to do this.
Okay.
And I knew that I had to get the experience for the first time.
Okay?
Now, believe it or not, I had six people show up, and I must have contacted about. I probably hustled, like, probably 20, 20 people until Facebook said, no, you can't speak to any more people. But six people showed up, and one person bought my product. I was like, wow. And you know what? I was jumping up and down after the webinar like crazy. I was like, oh, my gosh, this is crazy. I made my first ever sell. Now, I could have easily felt discouraged. I could have easily felt like, oh, only six people showed up. But you know what? Look, if you. If you, if you work out the percentages, you know, I told 20 people, six people showed up and one person bought.
Yeah.
The, the percentage and the conversion rate. Without working it out in my mind, because I'm, you know, I'm not quick enough to work, work it out. But it's actually quite high. But look, even if you had a hundred people show up and you only made one sell.
Yeah.
What we tend to do, we tend to be disappointed with results.
Okay.
And what I'm here to tell you is that you shouldn't. Even if you make zero cells, okay. Even if you had zero people show up or 1, 2, 3 people show up, 10. Never, never be disappointed. Be happy. Be happy of the journey.
Okay.
If you get people showing up and they don't buy you got a result, it's a small win. You've never had that win before. It is a win if you're advertising and getting people to join your email list, you know, and you're getting two people a day, 10 people a day, and you think it's small. Well, yeah, maybe it is small. But celebrate your win. Don't be disappointed. Because what's important, the importance is consistency. Don't be disappointed enough to get yourself out of the game completely.
Yeah.
You just got to keep on doing the actions because you're starting to get results that you never had. Do you get what I'm saying? You never had those results before because you wasn't, you wasn't putting in the work before or you never had that experience before.
Yeah.
So you got to carry on. You know, you might. So I might do another webinar where I get 20 people show up and I make zero sales. Okay. But the one after, I might get 15 people show up and make two cells. One after I get 50 people show up and I make six cells. One after I get 100 people and make 10 cells, 20 cells. Who knows? Who knows? But what's important is celebrating your small wins.
Yeah.
And being happy about the process. Do not, do not, do not feel disappointed.
Yeah.
Even if you have high expectations and you don't meet your expectations, don't be hard on yourself. Just be happy.
Yeah.
Because it's the good feelings that's going to carry you through to the, the success that you want. And until you, you hit your, your big goals and your big dreams.
Okay?
So anyway, I hope you found this video of value. If you did, then please subscribe to my channel if you haven't done so already. And please like and share if you think other people will gain value from this. So for now, this is Gunnar Hussein, and I'll see you in my next video. Bye For.
