Is Affiliate Marketing Worth It In 2022?

Hey, hello everybody. I'm going to be talking about affiliate marketing and whether it's worth it in 2022. Is affiliate marketing worth it in 2022? Let's find out. So you want to know if affiliate marketing is worth it this year in 2022? Well, there's a few things to consider. So I don't know whether you're affiliate, a newbie, a beginner, what with what's been going on in these last two years. Maybe you're just stuck at home and you're looking for things to do at home and to generate income. Well, affiliate marketing is one of the easiest ways of making money online. But there are a few caveats and that's what I'm going to be going over. So affiliate marketing can be very rewarding. You know, you've probably done your own little research already and affiliate marketing is looking very appealing to you. But you can't just jump at it right from the offset. What you really need to decide for yourself is first of all, what niche are you going to be going into? Me, myself, I'm in the make money online niche. Is that the kind of niche that you're into? If you, is that how you come across my channel? And then once you've picked your niche, what you're going into, you're going to need to search for product, vendor or search for a product that you're going to promote. And one of the ways is going on to ClickBank. ClickBank has a variety of products that you can be promoting in a variety niches. The next thing you have to consider is how are you going to promote your chosen product? Are you going to be doing what I'm doing, for example, YouTube videos, or are you going to go on Facebook? Are you going to do Instagram posts, Pinterest posts? So now I'm building up a picture for you of all the methods that you could be utilizing to your affiliate marketing venture. Have I confused you yet? Because yes, even affiliate marketing, as easy and simple as it sounds, can be a minefield because there's all these decisions to make, you know, and with that, it takes learning before you decide what exactly you're going to be doing. And your approach to affiliate marketing, me personally, I'm in the make money online niche and what I look for is systems, ready made systems. Why do I like ready made systems? Because all I have to do is drive traffic to that system which promotes the product. Now you're probably asking, well, hey, Gunnal, what's a system? What is a system? A system is a ready made funnel. Now you may be asking next, what's a funnel? A funnel is just simply a way of capturing leads. So it's a web page, usually it's called a lead capture page or squeeze page. But what that page's focus is is to capture a name, which is actually optional. You don't have to capture a name, but you definitely want to capture an email address. Because what you want to be doing is building up your email list. And that's why we want to capture a person's email. And then from there what we do is lead them to the actual offer and that's what we want to be doing. It's a two step process. So we capture a name and an email address or just an email address and we funnel them through to the product offer. Sounds simple, doesn't it? Well, it is simple. Now if you've got a ready made system waiting to go, meaning somebody's already created the system for you, all you have to do is drive traffic. So you're going to need to learn how to drive traffic. Well, there's a couple of methods. Well, actually there's a whole load of methods, but they're usually placed in two categories. One is paid traffic and two is organic free traffic. One takes money and one takes time. And what you have to do is decide on what route you're going to take. You could be taking both. Me personally, I do both because paid traffic gives me quick results, whereas free traffic takes longer. However, what you want to decide is maybe you want to be creating a brand for yourself. So if you want to be creating a brand then then you would go the free traffic route. And maybe you simply hardly got any money to go the paid traffic route. But I don't want to give you any misconceptions that even going for the paid traffic route that you're going to be making money tomorrow. Yeah, because it's just not like that. Sometimes you can get lucky, but there is a waiting game. Free traffic is a long term game and that is great. If you want to be creating a brand for yourself, whether it's a personal brand or you've got a brand name that you want to promote, what you want to house all your affiliate products under, well, that's great. But it takes consistency and make no mistake, even if you go the paid traffic route, it takes consistency because how many times are you going to pay for traffic to be able to make money? Every day you're having results, you're creating results for yourself. Even if it's Just a zero. But you are creating results. But you have to be consistent. You have to be in it for the long term. Are you going to tire out? That's the question. You can't come into affiliate marketing thinking that you're going to be making money tomorrow. Just doesn't work like that. Whether you're doing paid traffic or free traffic. And I wouldn't recommend going on Facebook and start spamming people and spamming groups and hitting up on people and spamming. There is a way of approaching people. It's not what I do. There are people that are successful at it. You can't be just being all sleazy about it and just saying, hey, you know, how are you? Here's my offer. Bye, bye, bye. That's very sleazy. After me telling you all that, I said, are you going to be putting in the work? Well, really, it does take mindset and you really got to think like an entrepreneur. Entrepreneurs work hard and they stick at it day in, day out. And they realize that whatever it is that they have to offer, especially if you're creating a new business, that the work you put in today is the money that you'll make tomorrow. That's one of the hardest thing to get your head around. Because if you're working a job, you know you're in there day in, day out, and it's no different. So when you have your own business, you have to expect on yourself to show up, to turn up, and to put in the work. Because when you're working a job, you know that you got your paycheck coming at the end of the week or the end of the month, you're pretty much guaranteed that you're going to be paid. And yes, we can get into conversations that a job is not a guarantee, but hey, for most people, it's pretty much a safe bet. But when you have your own business and when you're building your own business from scratch, you have to be your own boss, which means that you have to have the discipline to get up and show up. You may not make money at the end of the week and at the end of the month when you start out, because that's just not how it works. But if you stick at it day in, day out, if you're consistent, then chances are you're going to make it. You are going to be earning money, and the rewards will outweigh the work that you put in. Kicking this thing called affiliate marketing off. So for me, yes, it is worth it. If you're watching this video Then you're going to be seeing that I haven't been making videos in a while, for years, because to be honest, I gave up. I gave up. Been too busy looking for easier ways of making money. But all I've done is go round and round in circles. Now I have come across a few good things. Few good things that's making me money passively, which I will get to share with you. But I'm just talking about YouTube alone, that's just one example. So whatever marketing methods that you choose, you have to show up and you have to put in the work, day in, day out. Now I'm just putting it out there. But for me, YouTube, I'm going to be making a video a week, one video a week. So if I do that, that's 52 videos in the year, okay? And watch that sucker grow. So another thing to consider is, you know, do you want your affiliate business to be faceless? So what you have to think about is whether your affiliate business is going to be faceless or whether you're going to show your face and give value. Now, you don't have to show your face to give value, like I'm doing on this YouTube video, doing this recording for you. You don't have to. Another way is creating a blog. So whether it's blogging or creating YouTube videos, what you're actually becoming is a content creator. And when you're a content creator, you're giving the value to people that's interested in what you have to or that's interested in your niche. But one of the best ways of being successful in affiliate marketing is giving value to the marketplace. And sometimes you have to give before you can get. Now, after all said and done, you might be thinking to yourself, well, that's a lot to think about, Guinness, I think you've put me off. Look, I don't want to discourage you because as I say, you have to treat this as a business. You can't come into affiliate marketing as some sort of get rich quick scheme. If you have that mindset, then, you know, I'd recommend just don't watch this video any further, you know, because if you come in with that mindset of getting rich quick, then actually what you're going to be doing to yourself is getting rich long. It just doesn't work because you're going to be jumping from scheme to schemes to scheme and you're going to end up losing. Whatever winner you come across is only going to be temporary. Whereas if you put in the work and you do things Such as giving value to the marketplace, doing YouTube videos, for instance, or doing a blog. And even content creation is communicating with your email list. Even if you don't do any of that stuff, the free stuff. Now, after all said and done, you might be put off by affiliate marketing because it's just a lot of stuff to learn. But don't let me discourage you, because all you have to do is decide exactly what you're going to be promoting, how you're going to be promoting it, and all you have to do is be consistent. Whether it's buying traffic, whether it's media buys, solo ads, it's the same thing. You have to put money out there and be consistent. Or whether you go for the free route. What does that look like for you? Is that blogging? Is that YouTube videos? Is that LinkedIn? Is that Facebook? The end game is you want to be building up your email list. You want to be communicating with your email list. As your email list is building. You want to be communicating with your list with your subscribers. Communicating with your email list entails you writing emails. So what does that make you? Whether you're driving advertising and paying for your advertising or going the free route, you are still a content creator. Writing emails is content creation. What are you going to sacrifice? Do you want more money? Do you want more income? Do you want a better lifestyle? Because if you do, what are you going to be giving up? And is that going to be worth it? This can potentially replace your job. And once you do that, you can watch all the football you want in the world. You can get to spend more time with your family. We're talking about freedom. Freedom to wake up whenever you want and spend time with your loved ones whenever you want and give them the lifestyle that they deserve. And yes, along with that comes the niceties. The cars, the vacation, the big homes that you, you always dreamed of, the toys. Is it worth it? I'll say it's worth it. But again, takes discipline. Takes mindset, takes consistency, and it takes a lot of grit to kick this thing off. You have to show up day in, day out. Are you prepared for that? Only you can answer.
