Hey, everybody, it's Hal Elrod. Welcome to cancer video blog number four. And it has been nine months since I recorded number three. And the first few video blogs were done in a matter of weeks when I was first diagnosed with cancer. And then the last nine months I've been fighting, battling, healing from that cancer. So that's my excuse on why I haven't recorded a video in a while. But I wanted to take this opportunity to record what is one of the most exciting videos I've ever been able to record in my life. And exciting doesn't even put it into words. I don't know what word is appropriate. But I just received a test. Essentially I went and last week I went and got a bone marrow biopsy, which let me tell you what it is. So they take this really big, thick needle and then they stick it into your hip and then they push it into the bone and then they suck out the bone marrow. And it is so painful. I don't recommend it. It's very painful. And then they do it five times. And while they're doing it, I'm literally, I'm like, I'm shouting, I'm yelling. It was rough, but don't recommend it. However, it is how they test for leukemia. And having suffered from acute lymphoblastic leukemia, they came back with results showing that I was cancer free, essentially, and I'm in remission now, which people come out of remission. So I don't look at that as the end all, be all. I look at this as a lifelong journey of health and rest and rejuvenation and prioritizing what matters most in my life because too many people go back to their old lifestyle after they get cancer and, you know, they celebrate that it's over and then they, it comes back. So I am committed to that not happening by doing everything in my power to make that a reality. I want to take just a moment to acknowledge everyone watching this, everyone in the Miracle Morning community. Your love and support has been unbelievable, awe inspiring, and I am so humbled. I am so grateful. If you watched the last video, you know that I just filed to found a nonprofit, support the unsupported to offer support to people that don't have it. And that's something that I realized on this journey is you've been so awesome. My community's been so awesome. My wife Ursula has been unbelievable as well, awe inspiring in her commitment to giving our children a sense of normalcy. And she's done a phenomenal job. My family, my father, my mom, everybody. I could go on and on with the thanks, but I want to really acknowledge everyone who has supported me and I want to pay that support forward. Like I said, I realize that not everyone has that support network that I'm very blessed to have. And so support the Unsupported will provide knowledge and resources and caretakers for people suffering various illnesses, not just cancer, but various illnesses that don't have the support. They don't have the family that can take off of work and come help take care of them and all of that. So that is coming in the near future and I'll announce it when it is time.
The journey still going. I just finished chemo. Yeah, I had chemo the last five days. It's been rough, but that was my last major treatment and I got to ring a bell and we were filming the Miracle Morning Movie throughout the whole process. So that was really, really exciting. The kind of the grand finale of the film is this journey that I've been on, the cancer journey. And so having our filmmaker Nick there as I rang the bell that you get to ring the ceremonial bell when you're done with your last treatment. And ringing the bell was a loaded experience. Just lots of emotions, lots of feelings during the process of that.
We're getting ready for Best Year Ever Blueprint. That's a big focus of mine. Oh. In fact, that's why I recorded in front of this spot. You've never seen me record here. This is a sign that Tiffany, my director of operations, she had folks sign at last year's Best Year Ever Blueprint. And so meaningful, so many messages. And then this was inspired by Pat Flynn, I believe he calls it his gratitude board. And these are all the notes that I got during my cancer journey. And thank you for if you've sent a note, I really appreciate it. And to Matt Recour, who got me a UFC VIP experience, which was awesome. My favorite thing to do is go to UFC Front Row foundation is also sending me to a UFC event, which is really cool. But.
I. Oh, last thing I want to share. Kind of an exciting announcement in addition to this announcement, but I just confirmed that we're going to be able to show the Miracle Morning Movie the first cut of the documentary we've been working on for two years that features Brendan Burchard, author of the new book High Performance Habits. Robin Sharma, Robert Kiyosaki, Mel Robbins, author of the five second rule. Leila Ali, 18 time world champion, undefeated boxer and daughter of Muhammad Ali. Lewis Howes hosted one of the greatest podcasts of all time, the school of greatness. And the list goes on and on and on. And we film these people and their morning rituals to go beyond the miracle morning and go, okay, well, miracle morning is great, but what are the world's most successful people do for their morning rituals? What can we learn from them? What can we adapt and apply and integrate into our savers into our miracle morning? So we're going to show that at the event and I was going to record a separate announcement. I'm sure I still will, but I just remembered that and I wanted to make sure that I shared that with you. So for all of you coming to bestyeverblueprint and if you don't have tickets, if you're coming, you're gonna see that. And if you don't have your tickets yet, you can go to bestyeareverlive.com I encourage you to check it out. It's an amazing, life changing event. Bestyeareverlive.com and the last thing I want to close the video with is just a lesson. And one of the greatest lessons that I learned during this whole journey. I mean, there have been quite a few. I'm sure someday I'll write a book about all of the lessons. But one of the biggest ones is that none of us know how much time we have left. I never in a million years imagined that I would ever get cancer. But none of us know how much time we have left. And we don't know what day is our last day. We're all going to die at some point, right? That's a reality. We don't know when. And so my lesson, my encouragement, is for all of us to live our legacy, to live to our full potential. Because that's the only way that a, we can live or get the most out of our life, squeeze the most out of our life. But it's also the only way that we can inspire and empower the people that we love to live to their full potential. We've got to live to ours so that we can learn and understand how we can inspire the people that matter most to us to live to their full potential. And one more thing, spend more time with your family or your loved ones. If maybe for you, it's not your family, but your friends, your loved ones, whoever that is for you, spend more time with those people. Because that is what life is about, is the beautiful relationships with the people that we are blessed and to share this journey with. And I'm blessed to share my journey with you. I love you. Thank you so much for your support. If there's anything that I can do, reach out. I will help you in any way that I can. I love and appreciate every single one of you Miracle Morning community. My wife, my children, my family. I love all of you. And I will see you next time. Take care, buddy.
