Lying to yourself. Every single day, there's a lie that we all tell to ourselves. And if you're feeling overwhelmed in your life, it's because you're telling yourself this lie. And the lie is, I have so much to do. No, you don't. You have one thing to do. Because there's only one thing that any of us can do at any given time, and it's we tell ourselves the story. I have so many things to do. I'm so overwhelmed in my life. The reality is, your to do list might be a hundred items long, but you can do one thing at a time. So the narrative of I have so many things to do, I have to no time. That all creates feelings of frustration and overwhelm that prevent you from being productive. So change the narrative from I have so many things to do to I have one thing to do. And look at your to do list and focus on the one thing you can get done right now. Do that thing. Create momentum and progress that moves you forward. And before you know it, you'll be checking thing after thing after thing, item after item, off your to do list, and getting it all done, but only one at a time.
