Hi everyone, I'm Cheryl McColgan, founder of Heal, Nourish, Grow. I'm in the kitchen today to make a fun holiday treat. So as you may know, I love cheesecake. I've made a keto-friendly version. There's a recipe for that already over on the site. But what can I do to make the cheesecake a little more like the holidays? And that is use it to make it into one of my favorite desserts from my childhood, and that is pecan pie. My grandma and grandpa used to have a pecan tree down in Louisiana, and we would be tasked with going out, collecting the pecans that had fallen onto the ground and shelling them. And then my grandma would make us these wonderful pecan pies. But if you've been around my channel for a while, you know that I'm all about the low-carb living keto lifestyle. And so a traditional pecan pie is really just going to be too much of a sugar bomb for me. So what better idea than to combine two of my favorite desserts into one? So what I'm making today are pecan cheesecake bars. Can't wait to eat this with our Thanksgiving dinner, and I'm really excited to share it with you. So let's get started.
