DAY 18 Bottom Of Your Triangle - Jog through the Fog

Ian Ugarte explains the "bottom of your triangle" idea: surround yourself with people better than you in wealth, health, relationships, and opportunity so their behavior pulls you upward. He runs with fitter partners who do fartlek intervals, showing how proximity and muscle memory improve your pace over time without direct competition.

Ever heard me talk about being the bottom of your triangle? Well, let's talk about that soon.
I often talk about being the bottom of your triangle. So if you look at a triangle, you want to make sure that you're at the bottom and at the bottom of that triangle, it means that everyone is around you in your life, above you, is better at what you do. So whether we talk about wealth, health, opportunity, your love, your evolution, you want to make sure that people are wealthier than you, more financial savvy than you, fitter than you, take more opportunity than you, have better connection and love than you, and are helping out and evolving in their own personal development even more than you. So today we're out on a pretty long run and these two behind me are much fitter than I am. So for them, they're taking off and doing fart lek. So they go off and they run fast pace and come back and meet me. Now, I told them that I was going to be running a 5:45 pace today, which is not the quickest pace, but I've only just started running back and I'm hoping to get that to a 4:45 very soon. But the thing is that we've been running, on average, I've been running at a 5:35 pace, so that's 10 seconds quicker than I wanted to. But the reason that's happening is because I'm drawn along by these two, which really don't give a stuff about me. They just run fast just to make me hurt. But being alongside them and running with them means that I'm drawn along. I'm not trying to compete against them. I'm just running at a pace that I feel suitable with. That's pushing me a little bit. But because these two are above me in my health triangle at the moment, it means that I get drawn closer. I've also got muscle memory. So come time in the near future, I'll be getting closer and closing that gap and reaching my way up to the triangle. And hopefully by the time we're at the marathon, I'm on level par with them. But even if I'm not, it doesn't matter. And what does that mean to these two? They need to be going out and running with people that are going to absolutely hurt them as well. Because being around people in property deals that know so much more and do so much more is really important. Don't compete against them, don't try and do what they do because you'll burn yourself. If you want to start in property, hang around people. Don't try and be them. Don't try and ask them for information, they're busy enough. But simply just be around them and catch those little bits of information. Be at the bottom of your triangle, everywhere you go. Time for you two to take.
