Ian Ugarte says rejection never killed anyone and usually says more about the other person than you. He uses property deals as an example: asking owners for no gets you nowhere, but it builds resilience and humility faster than waiting for yes.
You ever been rejected? I have a number of times. Let's talk about this after this intro.
One thing I can tell you about rejection is it's never killed anyone. If anything, it's come up and made me stronger.
Rejection is a way of saying that the person on the other side is not happy with who you are because of who they are. They generally are reflecting themselves in a mirror.
People always say to me, how do you get the best property deals realestate.com RP data, you know, PD online. And the best deals are from asking questions and developing relationships and knocking on front doors of owners and saying, hey, I'm interested. And if they say no, it's not a big deal. I've never ever seen anyone die from a no. Bianca, you ever been rejected? Oh, yeah, definitely. And you're still alive and breathing? I didn't die. You didn't die. I didn't die. And I think you're right. The moments that I think of that it has happened, it's been like, yeah, that isn't a reflection of me, it's a reflection of you. And I think you that really well, yeah. And sometimes, sometimes you are in your ego and the rejection happens from that. And you've got to sit back, think about it and say, well, I need to change now. I'm an action person, right? And I can't tell you the amount of times where Christine has given me what some people would see as a rejection.
And rather than speaking and saying anything about it, I actually action change. And so Christine's learned that whilst I may not say sorry, I am sorry and will change how I behave. Do I ever fall back? Absolutely. It's the way of the world. But when we become habitual, you learn how to handle rejection and you learn to move on, then you got something else to give to this world, which is humility.
