Focus on community and everything will come about just perfectly for you.
As you all know, I.
Was really engrossed in myself for a long period of time around making sure that I made money, that I fed my ego, that I took on everything for myself, and then hiding behind the mask of the oxygen theory, which was, once I had a packet load of money, I might think about helping other people because I'm in the position to do so.
Until, of course, I woke up one day and realised that the meanness, the selfishness and the contrast of what I wanted to be was two different things. And so it was at that point in time where I was incredibly unhappy, incredibly rich.
And suicidal that I realized that something had to change. And what I changed was I started looking at the things that helped me and the things that I wanted to help. Community was the first thing that came to mind. And the reason I say that is.
There'S plenty of quotes around that talk about, you know, the child and how it. How a child takes an entire community to raise the child. Something that we had in Australia for many, many years in housing, where a small child out on the road would play with all the neighbours, would get an understanding of the neighbours, parents of the community and what it felt like to be part of a group. Our education program and our community is a very big support network that raises.
Hypothetically, people that have only just started investing in property, raises them as children to become competent adults in investing. So let me change the quote. It takes.
A community to raise a child. Let me say, it takes a community to build the confidence of someone in any area of your life. And without community and without the focus of the people around it, without the leaders, without the matriarchs, without the elders in any community, then you're only ever going to be looking after yourself and it's going to be a tough game to win.
Join a community. It's everything that you can possibly ever want.
